Lakkidi is the next wet area after Chirapunji in India in terms of rainfall. The view of the valley after several hairpin bends from the view point is breath taking. During particular time in an year fireflies in millions gather in the valley at night and it is a mesmerizing sight coupled with a starlit sky above The Pookode lake... More

Lakkidi view point is not just another point with a view. It's at the wayanad calicut border, where the ghats (western) begin. The winding roads through the ghats leads to Kozhikode. You are greeted with monkeys. We went in December, so it was foggy in the morning with a cloudy view. During the sunset, it was mesmerizing, just like kids... More

Lakkidi View point is very much attractive and thrilling seeing the high-rise and deep valley while rolling roads down steep. It was a good time and got the parking beside the road and had amazing photo shoot. You have to be little careful with Monkeys around. Keep a good digital camera to shoot the video.

Wanna see the Sun set? This is the place...Beautiful and yellow sun sets behind the hills saying a goodbye to all passing by the Western Ghat. Awesome view point from where one can also feel the ghat and it's roads all around. Worth visiting once if you are in Wayanad.

We stopped here both in the way up in the afternoon and on the way down at sunset. The views are spectacular and especially at sunset. Highly recommend it.

This is on the road to Kozikode. We first visited pookode lake and then moved to this place. Its a view point from the ghat road junction, just on the road side. You will get a clear view of the deep ghat road down.
