It took us almost 15-20 mins to reach at a point where in we could further step ahead to Chembra peak. You will find govt officials there, and it is mandatory to get a guide along if you want to trek to the peak. Guide charges were 700rs irrespective of the number of people. For each group, one guuide is... More

It's the best place you can be find in Wayanad. We went in November and the weather was nice with slight sizzles and cool breeze. It deserves a 5 star. After a long trek you are in for one of the best views from top of the hill.

DO NOT HIKE IN FLIP FLOPS. This is a legitimate hike. We saw so many people hiking in sandals and flip flops completely regretting it. The hike takes about 2 1/2 hours round trip, and is absolutely gorgeous. Definitely bring water and good shoes.

This is one of the tallest peaks in Waynad and is an excellent trekking destination. The peak is located 17 km west of Kalpetta and is about 2100m above sea level. It is a strenuous trek to the top. It is possible to reach Meppadi Hills from Kalpetta and drive 4 km to reach the foot hills of Chembra. It... More

This is only for seasoned trekkers and not for casual trekkers, we belong to category 2 and the sun shining hard made us retreat back without completing.

Possibly the best hike in Waynad. Not very challenging. One doesn't have to be super fit to do this. Takes 3-5 hours depending on how much time one wants to spend. There is small lake at the top. It is best done on a cloudy day for both shade and it adds to the beauty. Do turn back and take... More

An awesome tiring trek- Requires a walk for about 2 kms up hill for almost 2 hrs. To be visited only if you are in the age group of 18-40 as later its a tough ask. A good walk up the hill takes you to the lake on top which is refreshing. If you have children or adults, then better... More
