Good for trekking. This has been my best trekking experience so far. Its a 2.5km trek. We were 12 in number so it took us around 2-2:30hr to reach to the top. At the top there is a natural heart shaped lake which is okay.... good spot for photography, having fun with friends and spending some time at the top.... More

Go early in the morning to enjoy the weather and nature. Make sure you do some warm ups before starting the long trek. Its at an inclination of 40-50 degrees. Carry water and some energy drinks.

We were a group of 7 who after a heavy breakfast started to go for Chembra peak. On nearing the forest office Rajendran one of the guides stopped our car and asked us to go and pay. He was the guide coming with us which we came to know later. You need to pay 750 for trekking for a group... More

Its a Good experience but strongly not for kids and elders. Carry enough water & fruits with u. Total 3 to 4 hours both up & down trekking. The way is very slippery & lot of leeches in rainy season. Trekking is allowed only upto heart shape lake. There is enough parking area at trekking entrance point. Roads are not... More

Another excellent place to be one with nature. I hired a car in calicut and drove down to Chembra via Kalpetta_Meppadi. No prior permission required for the trek.you have to buy a ticket.costs rs 750 per group. A guide will take you through the trek. The climb tests your endurance, but, it is very safe, when it isn't raining. As... More

I had never done any trekking before and was tricked into the Chembra peak trek by my friends who told me it would be a simple one and easy for beginners. It was only when I started climbing and finished almost 2 litres of water by myself with no sign of the peak did I realise how naive I was.... More

We stayed at the Grassroots Resort just up the (bumpy) road a little north of Kalpetta. Our host laid on the jeep to get us there which was a godsend. Our climb was challenging at times but my wife has rheumatoid arthritis and she managed it. It was a couple of hours on the way up, maybe half an hour... More

Chembra peak is a wonderful place for sightseeing and this peak or hill is really very high. The experience was amazing as i qas traveling in my own car. As we moved on and on, it became more thrilling and scary as well. As we reached the peak, it was marvellous and mind blowing sight. The heart shaped pond adds... More
