One requires will power and a certain amount of physical fitness to conquer this trek. The trek is steep, cutting through the hill and vegetation and if it rains, becomes quite slippery. The guide from the forest department is compulsory and a must as he is going to assist you in climbing up and prevent you from slipping away.In around... More

There is a view point which is around 1.5-2 kms from the parking which gives good view but the road to the spot is terrible with many potholes. While on our way, we saw a few cars returning back from half way due to terrible roads.

First of all, it is not a easy trek, except for those who regularly trek. But it will really make you feel awesome and liberating once you finish the trek. You will feel a more composed and stronger being. So go for it. Please wear good hiking shoes which have good grip, to prevent you from slipping, The views are... More

Chembra peak is a beautiful and strenuous hike. The incline is very steep. Start early during summer to avoid the heat. We started hiking at 10 and it was pretty warm. Our guide was surprisingly very fit and adjusted his pace to accommodate us. Although we were allowed only until the heart shaped lake, we didn't make it to it... More

Absolutely worthwhile and medium level challenging especially if its been a while since you did any intense physical activity. After first 20-30mins of ascend you reach a threshold of whether or not to continue but when you do sway for the positive side especially as a group this is a good exercise.Inhale exhale deep breath every few feet ascend and... Did a brief trek to Chembra peak. Passed lush green slopes of plantations below and a slow steady climb up to the summit.Beautiful views of the surrounding hills was possible as the mist had cleared despite the heavy rains for the previous 2 days. Ensure you apply lots of vicks on your legs to avoid leeches sticking on your feet.... More
