I have gone to most places in wayanad. If u have the energy to take challenges then this place will make you feel happy many times more than other places.. The challenge is to climb steep mountain. Go in rainy day. U will love it double.

No doubt one has to trek a lot but after reaching the top (watch point) one forgets completely about the fatigue in reaching this point. The panoramic view from the top is very nice. During my visit in August end, it started raining heavily and for sometime, nothing was visible. My advice to elderly people and people suffering from High... More

it is one trip to take was breath away, literally. the drive to Chembra Peak is through tea gardens, and the view looks so good. The road is a little bumpy and narrow. To reach Heart Lake, it a 3 hours trek straight up the mountain. There are VSS guides available. We went in Aug, and the rains added to... More

Great view from top. Nice lake at the mountain top. Can see the surrounding places, which is fully surrounded by greenery. Very peaceful to spend some time at the top. Nice trekking as well.. We started the trek at around 2 30 pm. And 5 pm is closing time..So we had to hurry. Still a great experience. Suggestion is to... More

The place was awesome, it was my first trekking. when we were climbing every one of us felt lot of pain. But once we reached the top, the nature took our pain away completely. Highly recommended for all nature lovers

Liked: The exhilarating view from the view point. Disliked: The place from where you view is a concrete building that does not suit the place. Missed: Did not trek to the top of the peak. Readers, if you have it in you, I recommend you trek to the top to make the most out of your trip to Chembra peak.... More

Its a short and strenuous hike. We did this at peak monsoon (aug 1st week) and it was spectacular with lots of waterfalls, short drizzle, mist and thick green forest/hills. Currently you can hike only up to the heart lake. How to reach: Reach Meppadi (GPS: 11.554694, 76.130800) and park your vehicle in the main road. I parked it near... More

The view at top is amazing. Only 3 kms trek (one side). rest 3 kms is closed due to wild elephants as they say. so you reach only heart shaped lake not up till chembra peak. but view from there is awesome. At meppadi you have to get a govt guide for 500 INR.
