This was the highlight of our Tasmanian visit - soaring over the rugged beauty of coasts from Hobart over the vast South West wilderness. Thomas our pilot/guide was a font of knowledge who accompanied our walk with the narratives of pioneer settlers and explorers, and included a thrilling boat ride down the pristine and peaceful river.... Par Avion is an... More

Best excursion in Tasmania! We took a small plane to Melalueca with a fantastic pilot/guide who showed us the aerial sights and the rare, endangered Orange-bellied Parrots! Stay was actually March 2014, I forgot to post here although I posted on my blog. Don't miss it!

We took a day trip to the Far South. No words to describe how incredibly beautiful and spectacular. Absolutely recommend this flight and all in true Tasmanian fashion, highly understated. Cool and competent pilot also being the guide, skipper and barmen. This must be the best value adventure.

After reading the books King of the Wilderness (the story of Deny King) and Side by Side, (the story of Win and Clyde Clayton), Melaleuca and Bathurst Harbour was a must see for me. So off I went with two of my very dear friends on a crisp winters day. After being met by our Par Avion pilots Nicholas and... More

Great experience, expensive for some perhaps, but worth every penny. Par Avion provide a fabulous and professional tour that is great value and will give you a life long memory of a wonderful part of the world. We both list this day as the one we enjoyed the most on our Tassie holiday....and the scenery? Wow. If you can, fit... More

We were taken for our South West Wilderness flight, on this crisp winter day with Nick from Par Avion. The flight down was via the coast and return via the mountains; both offered fantastic views of Tassie's wonderland. Once there, we were alone in our group of 10; not another person to be seen all day. Nick looked after us... More

What an amazing experience. We could not have asked for more. The staff were all fabulous. Our pilots were friendly, informative and caring and couldn't do enough to make our flight enjoyable. We were well catered for and the scenery was absolutely amazing. Thankyou Hugh ( our wonderful pilot ) & Stewie (Co-pilot- photographer 😉) for a wonderful day.

My pregnant, toddler and I did a tour last week to the South West Wilderness area with Mike organizing the trip for us and Stewie flying us in and out. We found amazing value for money, fantastic service, honesty and they are true ambassadors for Tasmania, proud of their state. Very well informed, friendly and took care of all our... More

A wonderful (surprise) experience for my husband! He enjoyed every detail: the flight to/back; the food (gourmet and delicious); and the tour commentary. It's a remarkable world heritage listed place and it was wonderful to be immersed in the wilderness there. I couldn't recommend this tour enough :)

If you don't have several days or more to walk into the south western wilderness of Tasmania then fly with Par Avion in their cute and zappy little planes from Hobart to Melaleuca and explore from there by boat out towards the Southern Ocean.A small group tour, personalised, classy and with a well informed and skilled pilot as your guide,...
