The flight is okay, if you dont sit in the third row (no windows). After landing in Melaleuca, you visit a orange-bellied parrot station where you most likely dont see parrots. Then you take a highspeed boat ride (dont get much of the scenery) to a beach where lunch is served. After a hispeed boat ride back, you take a... More

Quite disappointing to get our first "terrible" review. Thankfully the vast majority of passengers don't believe this. Also the tourism industry do not either, as we just won the Australian Tourism Award for Major Tour and Transport Operator a few weeks ago. Why is the tour called a "Day in the Wilderness"? Well the tour goes for 8 hours (a... More

Flight from Cambridge to Melaleuca was smooth and our Pilot Tom was very informative. Boat trip to Bathurst Harbour was equally as good, smooth calm water. Our morning tea and lunch were excellent. Beautiful pristine areas only seen and appreciated by air unless you are lucky to be able to walk/hike. Return trip to Hobart spectacular! Accolades to Tom and... More

We took the day wilderness tour, plane for an hour, boat tour of Port Davey and plane tour home. I can only say that if you have a bucket list this has to be included at the top of it. This is truly spectacular. Our pilots Luke and Nick did all possible to ensure that we enjoyed the day. Their... More

Stunning scenery on the flight, professional, knowledgable and very helpful pilots and guides made this an unforgettable experience. This area is historically fascinating having been the site of a tin mine (visit to Deny King's cottage was a highlight), a tragic failed attempt to set up a jewish community at Port Davey, and an insight into the Aboriginal inhabitants made... Unfortunately we couldn't go on our scenic flight as apparently it was too windy, which is fine as you can't control the weather. Though, it would have been nice to have been notified about this before I spent $70 on taxis getting out there and back. I am not a pilot, I don't know what appropriate flying weather is, I'm... Southwest National park forms the third link in Tasmania’s Wilderness World Heritage Region, the other two are Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park, and Cradle Mountain-Lake St.Clair National Park. To see the southwest, one must walk for five days, or take a Par Avion Wilderness (day) Tour. Our flight left from Cambridge Airport just outside of Hobart, and after the tame... More

Not only was the flight breathtaking, but our Pilot David also turned out to be an excellent and committed tourguide, boat captain and attentive intelligent conversationalist. We have raved to all our friends about this easy, no stress, no exhaustion day trip to the (thank God) unspoiled western Wilderness. We are considering to come back and do the 3 day... More

A wonderful day tour to the wild South West. It starts around 9 am flying over Hobart and then following the rugged Tassie coast line to Bathurst harbour. Fin, our pilot and guide for the day gave us a brilliant tour. It is a full-on experience and probably the next best thing to actually bush walking and staying down and... More
