We were so lucky to have great weather but what really made this trip special was, first the ambiance created by the crew who were superb and second, the presence of a huge pod of lively dolphins who played and swam with the boat. We have just moved to Skye to live and this is definitely the first thing we... More

Friendly and genuine people, good value for money, we took a spectacular trip across to Loch Coruisk from Elgol which included a short wildlife detour to see seals. The crew provided rain capes, hot drinks and biscuits and lots of local information. Highly recommended.

Visiting family on the isle of skye and decided to see a part of the island that I hadnt seen before. We choose a perfect day for it with the sun shining and not a cloud in the sky. The crew added to the expirience with their hospitality and their knowledge of the area and wildlife was very good. Make... More

But do dress for the weather as this fine boat has very little cover. We took the 3-hour trip - from Elgol to Loch Curuisk. Hundreds of seals greeted us as we went past. We climbed ashore, equipped with a small picnic lunch and hiked to some scenic rocks to enjoy the grand view of the mountains in the sun... More

We decided to visit Loch Coruisk during our week on Skye and were not disappointed. I think you have to take a longer trip (to the small islands) to see the whales or sharks but we did see lots of seals. Chosing the Misty Isle boat turned out to be a great decision when we arrived a Coruisk. The skipper knew... More

I loved the trip to Loch Coruisk and I loved the crew, who were very nice and entertaining. Take at least the 3 hour trip since it is lovely to walk around the lake. Také a picnic with you.

We went on our second Misty Isles trip last Thursday, out from Elgol to Canna. Lovely day for it and also enjoyed the skirting around Rum with red deer, a shipwreck and a mausoleum on view. Canna was lovely and peaceful in the sunshine with a pair of white tailed sea eagles but the real highlights were out on the... More

We took a trip to Canna on the Eilean a Cheo. First we dropped some people off on the Isle of Rum and then proceeded to Canna. Thomas, the skipper, got the kettle on straight away for hot drinks and made them for anyone that wanted them. The weather towards Rum changed and most people stood in the sheltered bit... More

Great guide, gorgeous scenery, so many seals, and then we landed near loch curuisk. A short hike put us in the land that time forgot; I half expected dinosaurs to appear.

This trip was the highlight of our time in Skye, and that says something as Skye has so much wonderful things to see and do, which we managed to do some over our week in Skye. We took the trip from Elgol harbour on the Misty Isle boat called Eilean a Cheo which means Island of Mist or Misty Isle.... More
