Something different. The artists couple toured us through their house and how they do the potery. Very nice and special.
Worth the 20 min travel. It's on the left side of the road when going from Taos.
Don't miss!

It took us awhile to find this place because we didn't know where Valle Escondido was - so we asked the people at the golf course and they said it was in Taos. It's right on the Enchanted Circle just outside of Taos. Once we got there, we found it to have the most amazing pottery and extremely knowledgeable owners....

Both the times we have visited Taos, its been a pleasant surprise. There are so many things to do and places to see, we ran out of time on both our visits. If you love art in any form-Taos is the place to be.
If you have just a couple of hours at Taos, the enchanted circle would be a...

Visited Enchanted Circle Pottery because of the excellent reviews they had received from Trip Advisor. Definately not disappointed in this stop on the trip. The tour that Kevin gave was so interesting and loved looking through their beautiful home and shop. Both his and JoAnne's experience and expertise with the wood fire process was so interesting. Loved the look and texture on both Kevin...

A group of 8 friends stopped at the Enchanted Circle Pottery on our way into Taos from Angel Fire. Wow! The owner and artist, Kevin, showed us how they make their unique ceramic pieces. It was quite interesting and labor intensive what with the wood firing. What was even more special was JoAnne and Kevin's gallery is in their home...

My husband and I were riding our motorcycles through Taos Canyon when we came across the Enchanted Circle Pottery. We were a bit confused at first when we walked in the door and saw greenware and just made mugs, but Kevin began to explain the process, and how their place came to be. Amazing work space, kiln, and the end...

We got quite the education in how making and firing clay pieces is done. They use a very unique technique of wood firing the pieces. I really enjoyed it.

If you are taking a trip around the Enchanted Circle, you need to stop here! Make sure you know where you are going because it would be easy to miss. I found a picture on their website, and it helped to know what we were looking for. The pottery is very unique and beautiful. Unfortunately, the day we stopped, the...

Unless they have changed since I was there (2007) they do exclusively wood fired porcelain, and the only glaze they use is a Shino. The work is very beautiful and technically excellent. They are very friendly folks who were very kind to a novice potter, and I'm still trying (with limited success) to get close to recreating the beautifully made...
