We are white-water specialists. Our guides have international certificates like: INTERNATIONAL RAFTING FEDERATION (IRF), RESCUE 3 INTERNATIONAL and Red Cross first aid. We are professional guides with professional accreditation from the Colombian ministry of tourism. Our experience of over 20 years shows that we are the most qualified company to offer White-water rafting on class 5 rivers like the Rio Suarez. The safety and comfort of our customers is the most important thing to us, this is why our company uses certified equipment from internationally recognised brands. We also use boats with frame and oars to offer the best safety on our descents of rapids. We also have instructors like CESAR DIAZ, who represents international bodies to offer courses and renewal of internationally certified licences for SWIFTWATER RESCUE (rescue 3 International), training and certification of rafting guides (INTERNATIONAL RAFTING FEDERATION), and white-water kayaking courses. We also offer 1-3 day tours on the Rio Chicamocha, family trips on the Rio Fonce and hydrospeed (river boarding).

From spending a week in SanGil we figured out a few things that will help other travelers out. There seems to be two main rafting companies that do suarez (Colombia Rafting and Exploradores). There also are many resellers that end up puting you on other trips(i think mostly with these two but there may be other that aren't as established).... More

I am a whitewater rafting guide from the United States and travel to rivers all around the world each year on my off season. I came to Colombia and of course decided to check out San Gil. I went to Colombia Rafting Expeditions to ask about renting gear to run my own trip. I got to talking with the owner... More

Went to San Gil for only 4 days and this was the number 1 activity on my To-Do list! Best rapids I've ever been rafting on!

Had an amazing day rafting the Rio Saurez with Colombia Rafting Expediciones. They crew was incredibly professional and walked us through everything we needed to know. The crew spoke some english, and truly enjoyed their jobs. They provided transportation and a lunch after, it was a perfect day. In addition, one of our party rented a kayak, and they took... More

Had a great day rafting with this company while in San gil. They provided an excellent safety briefing and instruction in fluent English prior to rafting the Suarez which is the biggest rapid river in the area. Rafters for about an hour and a half and then had our "snack" aka a filling lunch of beer, chicken, cheese and guava,... More

Very friendly crew, cool rapids and a decent snack afterwards, definetely recommended! some people or advertisements say 3 hours on the water but it's more around 2 hours, still it seemed plenty.

If you are into going to San Gil in Colombia and looking for adventure just go to this entreprise. Colombia Rafting Expediciones have several outdoor activities. I'd highly recommend doing the trip down the Suarez River. There were definitely some exciting moments, but having an experienced guide and a thorough run down before jumping in the raft made me feel comfortable. It was pretty physical but there was time in between rapids to relax. The lunch and beer by the river at the end was a... More

We rafted down the Rio Suarez which took about 2 hours. There was a very good safety briefing and it was nice to have a safety kayak follow us down. The gear was decent, all in good working order. The rapids were exhilarating and definitely made it a must do activity!
