After 12 years designing and developing one of the World's most highly awarded Ecotourism companies, John "Caveman" Gray goes his own way by forming "John Gray's SeaCanoe" with 18 of his most loyal and experienced guides. "After 12 years in Phuket, the experiment ran its course and I was packing for Polynesia," says Gray, "but when all these guides showed up, I had no choice but to stay and do another start-up."

Not just outstanding in local tourism. This is a world-class operation run by a true classic gentleman. The diving in Phuket is outstanding, but if I had only one thing I'd do there, it would be the sea kayaking. Take the Hong by Starlight tour. These inflatable kayaks are paddled FOR you, although, you can get a chance for a... More

The Hongs by Starlight tour is great. It includes both lunch and dinner and unlimited water. Once you reach the islands and get into the kayaks (which are paddled by your guide) you feel like you are in another world, it's away from 'general population' which are on all the other boat tours. The guides are knowledgable and enjoy their... More

It was on the last minute that we decided to fly to Phuket and we only booked the tour with one day in advance. We exchanged some e-mails, but it was useless. Although my questions were pretty clear, they were not answered. I finally called them from my hotel and sorted out everything. We were picked up on the following... More

This trip was incredibly well organized, with great experiences and scenery and felt like every detail was meticulously planned out. There was a bus from the meeting area to the boat, then the boat trip was planned in detail, including two great meals and lots of time in the kayak. We did the Hong by starlight tour and it finished... More

This was one of the highlights from my recent trip to Thailand. With an amazing (and hilarious) crew, it was an exceptionally amazing experience. We were lucky enough to have some of the BEST canoe/tour guides (with a HUGE shout out and thanks to our beautiful Bass), not to mention a beautiful feed for both lunch and dinner. We were... More

This company seem to actually care about the impact they have. Having been ask to keep the noise down when in the lagoons and Hong it seems other companies just didn't care! Great food and a company that takes dietary requirements in to account. Guides were good and you felt safe with them. Worth a trip, we took hong by... More

This trip really impressed me. On the way out to the first stop we got caught in a thunderstorm. The staff quickly got everyone into appropriate life jackets and waterproof poncho's. They were reassuring and experienced with how best to deal with the situation. The whole day was amazing, there were two guest per canoe with a guide. We got... More

This tour was totally worth it. At first My wife and I were reluctant because we don't like being in large tour groups. But you end up getting a significant amount of time away from the group. Do NOT eat before going! Don't even bother packing water. They feed you delicious lunch and dinner and provide plenty of water. When... More

My wife and I and two of our kids (aged 6&7) went on this trip and absolutely loved it. All of the guides were knowledgeable, fun and helpful throughout the entire trip. We went to several locations, each one being unique and interesting and we never had a dull minute. I highly recommend this trip to everyone with a sense... More
