After 12 years designing and developing one of the World's most highly awarded Ecotourism companies, John "Caveman" Gray goes his own way by forming "John Gray's SeaCanoe" with 18 of his most loyal and experienced guides. "After 12 years in Phuket, the experiment ran its course and I was packing for Polynesia," says Gray, "but when all these guides showed up, I had no choice but to stay and do another start-up."

My 6th time to thailand but my first time experiencing this adventure. I would 100% recommend it for many different reasons. Staff are very friendly and speak very good english, my partner and I had Golf as our guide that day, we were extremely lucky, he was very funny and joked the whole time but still told us so much... We did the sunset cave tour. By far the best tour we did in Phuket. Very professionally run, and super friendly staff. We even had a group of families traveling together on board. To say the kids were obnoxious would be being nice (I was embarrassed to be an American) Yet they staff never lost their cool. Our paddler, Sam... More

John Gray's sea canoe tour was the highlight of our trip last year. Fantastic tour guides with lots of story's and laughter the whole time. So much fun canoeing into the caves. We saw lots of monkeys! Made a sacrifice and canoed to the cafe to let them go. Was a beautiful experience. There were also glowing sea algae which... More

Let me start by saying if you have reviewed this and didnt like it, you obviously dont like must at all... This outfit is (for Thai standards) professional. The boat is large and not over crowded. plenty of room to move about. The food for both lunch and dinner was amazing.. Honestly some of the best food we have tasted... More

A great experience of Canoeing far different than any other. Pretty good tour, and not too crowded, but a little steep cost wise (~4k bht). The guides are courteous and cheerful. The views are just amazing. Only drawback was the that only 2-3 caves were covered and the time at night spent canoeing was limited. Food provided is great and... More

What an amazing day trip to take. I highly recommend this and it's worth paying extra to go by John Gray. They give you your own personal guide for the day, provide a relaxing atmosphere and the best food I've had on a tour style day trip. Charlie was a fantastic guide and provided the best one on one tour... More

We hired John Gray's company for a personal uncrowded tour never imagining John Gray himself would join us. The day was overcast with rain and an amazing once in a lifetime experience. The group absorbed so much information from John and his great staff. Swimming, with personal kayaking around the beaches to our guides taking us through the caves, with... More

Wonderful trip to be closer to nature. Well organise comparing to the amount of people they had on the trip. Lunch and dinner were provided. Canoe were personal with a guide provided. Guide will paddle and explain to you about the caves and tides. Fascinating when travelling thru the cave into the lagoon. Once in a lifetime experience.

My wife and I had an awesome experience with John Gray's sea canoe! We really enjoyed seeing these remote, natural settings by canoe. Our guide was very friendly and helped to point things out. We loved going through the caves and were fortunate enough to see a family of monkeys in the nearby trees. The food on board was good... More

I’d like to start this review by saying the staff were wonderful, both on the big boat and on the sea kayaks. Having said that though, unfortunately I would not recommend this tour personally due to the massive crowds they move in – 3 big boats full of people all getting take around at the same time. They avoid James... More
