After 12 years designing and developing one of the World's most highly awarded Ecotourism companies, John "Caveman" Gray goes his own way by forming "John Gray's SeaCanoe" with 18 of his most loyal and experienced guides. "After 12 years in Phuket, the experiment ran its course and I was packing for Polynesia," says Gray, "but when all these guides showed up, I had no choice but to stay and do another start-up."

This tour is amazing! Three happy teenagers, relaxed mom and dad, and full bellies! The guides were very knowledgable about the surroundings constantly pointing out different creatures, plants, etc. The absolute highlight for us was waiting out a torrential rain to go float our Kratongs in the cave. Cold, dark and still raining we headed into the caves. Lit and... More

You have heard all the great reviews about this hongs by starlight afternoon tour, it is as good as it can get. I give 4 star instead of 5 because of cancelation of the tour on the day we had booked. They only told us it was cancelled after 1 hour drive from the hotel, that was strange. Eventually we... More

That was the best day on Phuket on our 9 days holiday. Whole organisation is very smooth and efficient. The staff onboard, the canoe drivers were feally enthusiastic and full of passion for service they make. You ll see a lot, experience something different than just a day trip and feel very special. As a tourist you do not have... More

If you're in phuket, just do it. Best tour ever. Authentic thai food made less spicy to cater for foreigner's taste, wonderful, friendly guides who come and talk to you all day, and mind blowing scenery and experiences guaranteed. My friends and I did the hong by twilight tour and we got to explore the lagoons, swim in the bay,... More

John Gray is definitely the best sea canoe company in Thailand. Very professional and organized. This is not the best way to see Pha Nga bay. You only see a tiny portion of it. If you are just interested in a few small islands and caves, this is the way to go. If you want to see the bay, floating... More

James Bond Island is a horrible tourist trap where the toilets drop straight into the fish nets (that you are about to eat for your lunch). The wild animals that are on chains are their because their parents were shot out of trees, and the hawkers charge you when you touch the beach. Phi-Phi is a classic example of unchecked... More

This was a particularly enjoyable day. A great experience with good food, scenery, and guides with the opportunity for a little swim thrown in

The reviews of the boat trip are amazing--my husband and I were really looking forward to going on our Hong by Starlight tour. We paid in advance to secure our booking but sadly paying was the easiest part of our experience (the experience which actually never ended up happening). I am currently in a credit card dispute with John Gray.... More

I am reading this from home in the early morning hours. I will check this out when I get to the office. Don't worry, you will get a full refund. The worst part is you did not get to experience Hong By Starlight. When you come back to Phuket please notify us in advance and you will get a free... More

Could not fault a single thing. From the start to finish we had the undivided attention from staff regarding from food and drinks to eco tourism.... More

The tour was a mix of fun and information led by a wonderful team, Mr Yew, Otto and Sun. The crew were exceptional and it was obvious they love what they do. Never having kayaked before, our guide Lewie (sic) gave us the opportunity to have a go. The experience of entering the sea caves and padding on the lagoons... More

Thanks for the nice review. I'm glad you had a good time and appreciated our great staff. It's all about Enlightened Human resources. The guides gave me the name "Ling Yai" - Thai for "Big Monkey" . More
