amazing views and a fantastic scooter ride up, if the road is dry. Opportunity to interact with the monks. Great souvenirs.

From anywhere in the island you can practically see the Big Buddha but once you get near it, you realize how big it is. Lovely drive up the mountain with little cafes and elephants dotting the roads up there. Once up there you can find little stalls selling big buddha related merchandise. The temple and budha are still being built... More

The Buddha Statue was tranquil and understated it was like being in the heart of Thailand away from all the hustle and bustle of the busy streets. It can be seen from a long way off and offers a peaceful vantage point.

We rode motorcycles up to the big buddha on the hill. A good option although tuk tuks and 4WD motorbikes are available. Free to get in. Women muT cover shoulders and knees (scarfs and sarongs available). Very impressive to see up close. Can buy wind chimes bells to hang on a wire which you can write you names which is... More

dont try walking up the hill in the middle of the day, sunrise or sunset are perfect times to go. the steps get quite steep, lots of monkeys, and they can be very cheeky so try not to carry any food with you as they will sneak up behind you and snatch it out of your hands, I speak from... More

I love free things! Took a tuktuk from Kata beach for maybe 800 baht for a return trip too and it was very impressive. Still under construction maybe, but the view is amazing.

The panorama view is the best in Phuket and here is worth a visit.
