Great views overlooking Karon and coast, if you like exploring when you are on holiday. This is worth going to see.

Huge Buddha constructed of marble tiles.Still under construction, There are some great photo opportunities. The coconut ice-cream sold as you enter the gate is very yummy. Try it on the bun for something different however beware there are monkeys nearby who love bread. We visited as part of a 1/2 day Phuket island tour. Ladies you will need to have... More

A huge Buddha that can be seen everywhere from Phuket Island. It is like Christ the Redeemer in Rio. It is massive, very impressive, and provides a nice view from the top. It's a bit far from Patong, so you must find some transportation. We booked a cab to go there, but it was very expensive. Perhaps renting motorbikes or... More

Huge! Much bigger than we thought. Free to enter but as it is being built with donations only it is nice to donate if you can. Be respectful of the culture and cover shoulders with a sarong on entering available for a small donation worth having to protect you from the sun aswell. Very spiritual place. We enjoyed it.

We have a scooter when we are in Phuket and always go for a ride up to the Big Buddha. The ride is really pretty and cool. At the top you can go up to the buddha or enjoy the spectacular views from the bottom. The best part for me is the homemade coconut icecream which is a must if... More

Great to do by motorcycle but beware burning the brakes out on coming down the mountain. An inspiring visit and nicely presented by the volunteers, thank you.

It has a lovely store where you can buy souvenirs. The Big Buddha has a excellent view from the top provided it is not a cloudy day.

A must visit is you are in Phuket. Still under construction but worth a visit. We visited as part of an ATV tour and it is a great place to spend an hour or two.

The big Buddha is constructed with tens of thousands of white marble pieces. The statue is impressive, but the rests are not. View from the top of the Big Buddha is nice.
