This is a really nice beach that we visit for a day trip every year we go to Phuket. There are lifesavers and flags here so you feel pretty safe.

Hard to find but worthwhile looking for...just watch out for the jellyfish. The usual sunbeds and drinks stalls. Killer stairs to get in and out but totally worth it.

Bring Your Own Things! Apparently, almost all the vendors have been cleared out, so if you need even the most basic beach necessity (beach towel, umbrella), you will not find it and the nearby hotels are downright hostile if you are not a guest. They have guards at every entrance to keep non-hotel guests out. We found it difficult to... More

Bit of a trek to get here but worth it. Kata beach is fab - Kata Noi is small but nice. Choppy sea - didn't swim there just stayed on the beach for a couple of hours. It is affected by tidal changes and apparently high tide can reduce it to a sliver of sand and it has a serious... More

The beach and a lesser extent the water had so much rubbish. I mean a lot and this included a fair bit of glass too.

Not that crowded, not that bored. Good for couple and family both! And good for someone who like surfing!

We stayed at Katathani Beach Resort which fronts directly onto this beach. It was monsoon season, so the seas were quite rough and we decided to stick to the pools. A lot of debris was washed in overnight, but the staff cleaned it away every morning. We had many delightful walks along this beautiful stretch of sand and can't wait... More

We walked here from Kata beach... went uphill and downhill and really worth the hike. Walked on the quiet beach right to the end. Absolutely peaceful.
