We loved the shopping, the restaurants and the locals. Just didn't want to buy a suit. Hehe. We didn't get a chance to swim in the beach, but it looked beautiful.

Kata Beach is considered now-a-day as the best beach in Phuket due to its fine sands and gentle current as well as its surrounding. Much of the beach is being annexed by the hotel property immediately in front of it but there are still various area to be use by the public. The annexing of the beach can be both... More

Warm water with almost no swell, so lovely for swimming when we were there in December. There are trees lining the beach so there are shady places to sit in the middle of the day and the beach never seemed over crowded.

This beach is beautiful but super busy. It is worth the trip if you are staying on Katon and what a change. Many more bar and restaurants to see.

If you like big waves like me, they are not there, if you babe kids though; perfect, you can walk like100 meters in the sea before getting water up to your waist. Lots of services around, like ice cream, drinks, food and for sure, massage, that is every where...

For clarification purposes this review concerns Kata Noi beach. This must be one of the best beaches I have had the pleasure of sunbathing on on my numerous visits to Thailand. There is no detritus evident. I would say it was a child-friendly beach (accepting that no beach is ever 100% safe) if you adhere to the signs concerning rip... More

I got there exactly in time for the royal regatta, and it was spectacular! Lots of yachts departed early every morning, and in the afternoon the speedboats would bring the sailors back ashore. The beach was clean, and the water was amazing, transparent and turquoise - looks great on pictures! For sports lovers there's a variety of usual water sports... More

I love the atmosphere of Kata. It is a little quieter than Patong and the beach appears better kept. The water is crystal clear and it feels as though you are living inside a PostCard
