We doubted for a long time between a day and an overnight cruise and in the end we went for the overnight one. We picked the right one. The cruise was absolutely amazing and we had such a good time. The food, the staff, the accomodations on board and the beds were all good. Oh I forget the doubtful sound.... More

This was a trip well worth going on. The natural beauty of the fiord is stunning. The trip was booked through Real Journeys. It was very well organized and the staff were super. The meal we had was like dining at a 5 star restaurant . Even though it rained through most of the trip, it was well worth going..

We did the overnight cruise with real journeys on doubtful sound and it was a fabulous experience once we got to the boat. The food was a good quality buffet, and there was plenty of it. The crew were without exception friendly and obliging. Sim the nature guide was very passionate and was worth listening to. The bus journey to... More

I can't decide whether to begin by praising the warmth and professionalism of Mandy, Shawn and Dave or bemoan the fickleness of the weather. Right from the start, the crew made us feel comfortable. It was a pleasure to see them work in such a synchronized fashion and seemingly so effortlessly. Between the three of them there was enough outdoor... More

The benefit of taking this trip on a rainy day was the large number of magnificent waterfalls. We booked through Go Orange and found them very friendly and professional. The tour guides on the bus and boat were excellent and it was a lovely day despite the rain.

Outstanding trip, from the pick up at our accommodation to the drop off the next day. Passionate, knowledgeable bus driver and guide on the boat. Excellent food and service, lovely staff, simple but comfortable overnight accommodation. Incredible scenery, wildlife and commentary. Loved the "sound of silence experience". If you have time in your itinerary to do this I highly recommend... More

Did the overnight cruise on the Explorer by Real Journeys. Absolutely amazing views, spent the whole day looking at the Fiords, never a dull moment.

Wow! Iv'e been to NZ alot of times and this has heen on my bucket list for a long time and it was worth the wait. The ferry driver and the bus driver are very knowledgeable about the environment they work in, also very passionate about the the wildlife. The boat was fantastic, very comfy and warm. The staff are... More

Real Journeys made this a journey to remember...in a good way. The staff on the boat were excellent. Carol, the nature guide, was the star of the journey, helping everyone understand the significance of the flora and fauna they were seeing. The scenery was magnificent, but it was Carol's explanations that made the journey more meaningful.
