Although the dirt road there was terrible (especially since it had recently rained heavily) we still managed to make the trip in a small city car (although it was a close call at times, with rocks scraping away at the undercarriage). No matter how difficult the trip was, however, it was 100% worth it. The landscape in the park is... More

The colours are amazing, went in a not typical October in Rio Grande do Sul, was a little cold for the season. The vegetation is so green, with a llot of little flowers, blue sky with a few clouds. The road is not so good, but it is a way to keep the place safe. From Cambara do Sul has... More

I didn't believe when I discovered that there was this beauty in my state, Rio Grande do Sul, and I didn't know it! It's one of the most beautiful things I've seen in my life. Totally worthy!

Amazing place! If you are going to visit just the Canyons you can go with your own car. To visit the fall and made trails is recommend to go with a guide. Beautiful! !

Personally we preferred Canyon Itaimbezinho but Fortaliza is also a worthwhile trip. In the last three years a bit more than half the road has been paved so the trip is easier than in the past. Unless it has been very rainy you can make the drive in any two wheel drive vehicle. As with all the canyons the earlier... More

Really nice trekkings to perform in the canyons (Itaimbezinho & Fortaleza). During summer, the water level in the canyons is higher, which prevent agencies to do some trekkings (rio do boi for ex). The views can also be very badly impacted by the humidity clouds in the canyon (we have not seen a lot from Fortaleza). Best period to enjoy... More

Cannyon da Fortaleza, at the Parque Nacional dos Aparados da Serra, along with his brother Cannyon do Itaimbezinho are some if the greatest nature artwork. Not very near to small Cambará town, and seems more far due to the terrible road to access. However, in the past 20 years, I've been visiting the place several times. Driv e with patience,... More

A place where we can admire the power of nature and the splendor of the canyons. It is a quiet place where you can take beautiful photos. It was very cold, but we enjoyed a lot.

A must see! Extremely beautiful, peaceful natural place... I went during summer (December) so it was hot! I want to go back during winter. Bring water. No bathroom or food facilities, which I think is great because it avoids trash. Not easy to reach with normal car. We hired a guide with a truck and it was a great idea... More

This is a truly stunningly beautiful natural area to do sightseeing. It is far away from urbanised areas so that adds to the peaceful atmosphere.
