Quirky, entertaining for anyone! This lovely chateau, is an old residence, a museum, a wine tasting place and a historical gem! There is ample parking and we entered the main entrance and paid a nominal fee to start our tour (7 or 10 euro- I can't remember!) We started in the barn walking around upstairs to see a huge collection... More

Great Family Outing. Wonderful collection of antique race cars, motorcycles, and airplanes. Couldn't believe the numbers of cars, etc.! My family enjoys racing and motorcycles, so there was something for everyone. The chateau was very pretty.

Quite interesting collection of old fighter planes, fire trucks, race cars, motorcycles, airplane models, and wine harvesting equipment. We enjoyed the visit very much. It reminded me of a mix of "Route 66" type roadside attractions but done the French way. On the way out we met the owner Michel Pont who took a moment to explain his folly and... More

This is an amazing place. It is actually what would happen if you gave my 9 yr old boy a few million and told him he could buy a load of "stuff" and make a museum. From the plane collection, the fire engine collection, the race car collection, the motorbike collection, the model plane collection, the tractor collection - my... More

I had a 3-year old and was looking for something that he would be interested in. We spent half a day here and he had fun looking at all the places, bikes and mini-vehicles. I had heard that you could get into a fighter jet but we couldn't find that. The chateau is very nice - full of bikes and... More

A puzzling original place. A huge collection of jet fighters, Abarth cars, motorcycles, fire engines, agricultural tractor inside a wine producing chateau. Nice garden, event in the winter. The chateau itself, as well as the collections, are a little worn out. But overall a great surprising experience.

The Chateau les-savigny is well worth a visit for anyone, not just men who are interested in “boys toys” although those that are, will be in for a special treat! The grounds around the chateau are full of vineyards and fighter jets… there’s also a building full of older racing cars, and there are hundreds of motorbikes. There is a... More

Knockabout Chateau and enormous collection of every boy toy you could possibly imagine - motor bikes, racing cars, tractors, jet fighters, helicopters, fire engines. The owner, who was also a pro racing car driver was obviously a wee bit eccentric! The Chateau itself is nothing special compared to the many others in France but the sheer magnitude of the collection... More
