Wonderful beach very close to our inn at the nearby town of Scopello. We spent a couple of hours one afternoon swimming and relaxing along the water in this scenic cove. The tuna factory gave great photo ops with the rustic ruins. This area of Sicily is a rare find; almost hate to give such a good review and have... More

We walked down here from Scopello town to swim. We actually preferred the Zingaro beaches. The Tonnara was shady and the fish were not as impressive as in the Reserve. One awesome thing about the Tonnara was the abundance of cute cats and kittens walking around, interacting with beachgoers and each other. The photo opportunities are great! But paying to... More

It is a wonderful place to sunbathe or go swimming. The waters are as clear as you could imagine; a thoroughly beautiful setting.

So delightful and picturesque. 3 euro fee per person per day. Great place to chill out. Lots of cute kitties. The Nero ice lollies from the machine in the Tonnara are delicious.

it's a beautiful place with a breathtaking scenery and crystal clear water ...however, it is too much crowded and noisy. Considering that an entrance ticket has to be paid, I was expecting to find a proper toilet or, at least, a more clean and satizied place contrary to what I found (something really disgusting)

One of the most beautiful natural locations in Sicily, I guess. It's a small, private, rocky beach, with and old construction that now has rental apartments (but you don't have to stay there to visit the beach). If you're going there on summer (specially August), leave your umbrella at home and be prepared to get there early (before 9:00), pay... More

Tonnara di Scopello is so beautiful and it's set on an incredibly pretty piece of land. The view of the stones against the deep blue water is breathtaking. The water is so clean, you can see the bottom even when it's deep, and albeit being a bit cold, it is very refreshing, and swimming to the stones is fun. Practicalities:... More

Pretty! You need to go there. It is a must see. We paid 3,50 Euro p.p. to access the beach. It was worth going there and take pictures, but unfortunately it was very crowded. So maybe go there really early in the morning to avoid the crowd (and enjoy the sunrise?).

On a good clear day, with sun shining, this place is rather spectacular. If you come after around 9am, you have to pay to get in, but if you come before, say 0830, you can get in for free, plus you can save yourself a little spot on the gorgeous little rocky "beach" of Tonnara. Yes, it is commercial, in... More
