Set in a ssemi-shaded wooded area. Short uphill walk to lower part of falls. Definately worth the visit - probably we were lucky in April as there was plenty of water in the river. Relaxing area and nice walk to go also with a dog!

This is a very charming waterfall and also good exercise if you want to hike to the top where you see a surprisingly calm water source. Not at all what I would expect to see at the top of a very loud, roaring, strong waterfall. It’s all very beautiful and the woods you like through are very magical and enchanting....

Approx 40 minute drive from Salzburg, would be lengthy walk from Golling railway station, well signposted Wasserfalle as approach town. Plenty of free parking, easy 10 minute walk to base of waterfall and further 15 minutes up many steps to top. Good paths and lovely forest setting. Cafe at base, entry fee €2.50 adult. Lots of other walks in area....
