Owner description: Get the forest’s different perspective, take a close look from above! You can be eye to eye with the birds and animals of the rainforest while sitting comfortably in the seat of our Swiss-engineered aerial tram system. Gliding smoothly through the tree tops, you will experience firsthand the sounds and peace of the deep tropical rainforest. One of the Gamboa’s tour guides will accompany you to describe the flora and fauna that you will see. The 1.2-kilometer ride culminates at a hill top where you have the opportunity to visit the Observation Tower. After walking up the spiral ramp, you will discover a panoramic view of the Chagres River, Panama Canal, Embera Indigenous Village, and the Town of Gamboa. All surrounded by lush mountainous rainforest. Recommendations: comfortable clothes, binoculars, water. Departure times: from Tuesday to Sunday. Closed on Mondays for maintenance

My husband and I went all around Gamboa after having a hearty Sunday brunch at the hotel. We walked around and then within seconds we saw 5 amazing toucans distractedly eating papaya and the a neque (like a mini capivara). They were so beautiful that we could not close our mouths. I hope Panama does continue looking after its jungle... More

It did feel a little rushed at times as someone mentioned but we appreciated the speed when going through the reptile exhibit, the butterfly exhibit and orchid garden as we could have done without that part. The aquarium area was just ok. We especially liked the monkey island boat ride and aerial tram. Both were relaxing ways to get to... More

Loved this combo tour with the boat ride. The tram is very peaceful, our guide was knowledgable and very fun. A little hike to top of platform for a great view of chakras river and culebra portion of canal. Orchid farm and butterfly enclosure very interesting. Great boat ride around cruise ships and container ships, then we saw 3 different... More

We started with the tram tour of the jungle. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Next we went on a short walking tour in the jungle and went up in an observation tower. The climb was easy because we walked on a ramp. It was a beautiful view of the area and the Panama Canal. On the next... More

Supposedly you can see wildlife on the tram going up to the viewing platform, however we didn't. Climbing up to the viewing platform was not that strenuous however the guide seemed to be in a hurry. On top of the viewing platform the views were nice but nothing spectacular. We were able to see a toucan in the trees adjacent... More

the tram ride was very pleasant and the guide was friendly. We saw a tucan and two snakes on the way to the lookout. The view was breathtaking but because we took a few minutes to observe the tucan and snakes we had hardly time to enjoy the view, we were allowed only 2 minutes on top of the Tower... More

The tram ride is short through the rainforest. While beautiful, we didn't see any wildlife (except for one Toucan), which is never guaranteed. The walk up the ramp to the observation deck was hurried. Felt like we were in a race. For people with physical hardships, it may be a bit of task to keep up, especially as the ramp... More

Boat dock is difficult for mature travelers -- very steep. Monkeys hopped on the boat and took food from people. They were entertaining but Didn't see much else. Expected more wildlife on that trip

We took this tour along with another offered by Gamboa and were extremely pleased. The guides were friendly and very knowledgeable. The tram ride was a wonderful way to see the beautiful rainforest along with the wildlife. The view from the top of the observation deck was breathtaking and worth the small hike up to it. The prices were reasonable... More

This is a really great way to see the jungle canopy in Gamboa. The observation deck at the top is well worth the price of admission. Stunning views of the chagres river and canal. It takes about an hour and if you aren't staying at the resort it's a bit of a hike out of panama city. Unfortunately, I didn't... More
