You can be eye to eye with the birds and animals of the rainforest while sitting comfortably in the seat of our Swiss-engineered aerial tram system. Gliding smoothly through the tree tops, you will experience firsthand the sounds and peace of the deep tropical rainforest. One of the Gamboa’s tour guides will accompany you to describe the flora and fauna that you will see. The 1.2-kilometer ride culminates at a hill top where you have the opportunity to visit the Observation Tower. After walking up the spiral ramp, you will discover a panoramic view of the Chagres River, Panama Canal, Embera Indigenous Village, and the Town of Gamboa. All surrounded by lush mountainous rainforest. Recommendations: comfortable clothes, binoculars, water. Departure times: from Tuesday to Sunday. Closed on Mondays for maintenance « less

The tram ride is short through the rainforest. While beautiful, we didn't see any wildlife (except for one Toucan), which is never guaranteed. The walk up the ramp to the observation deck was hurried. Felt like we were in a race. For people with physical hardships, it may be a bit of task to keep up, especially as the ramp... More

Boat dock is difficult for mature travelers -- very steep. Monkeys hopped on the boat and took food from people. They were entertaining but Didn't see much else. Expected more wildlife on that trip

We took this tour along with another offered by Gamboa and were extremely pleased. The guides were friendly and very knowledgeable. The tram ride was a wonderful way to see the beautiful rainforest along with the wildlife. The view from the top of the observation deck was breathtaking and worth the small hike up to it. The prices were reasonable... More

This is a really great way to see the jungle canopy in Gamboa. The observation deck at the top is well worth the price of admission. Stunning views of the chagres river and canal. It takes about an hour and if you aren't staying at the resort it's a bit of a hike out of panama city. Unfortunately, I didn't... More

We took this tour from a celebrity ship and it was a nice small group they put you in with a guide. While going up he gives you detailed information about the forest while looking for animals. At the top the view is outstanding and we had some siightings of toucan's. On the way down we were able to get... More

It is an interesting idea but was the least exciting activity of the entire Panama trip. Save your money and hire a good birding guide to take you to Pipeline road to really see the animals and the forrest.

The tram ride was good and safe! Our guide's English was not so good and she seemed timid and didn't explain too much on the way. We asked a lot of questions because we wanted to know more. The tower gave us an amazing view of the river and canal. You could also see the beauty of the rainforest, we... More

I am very happy that we were able to see the Rainforest while in Panama, and I would do this tour over again for that opportunity. Our guides were knowledgeable and a their ability to speak multiple languages was very appreciated. At the end of the Tram tour, we had to wait for a bus for about 30 minutes in... More

Panama's rainforest is not a virgin forest, is not so very high, and once you know that...you can appreciate what you get a little better, however, even knowing that Most of central Panama was totally denuded and deforested during the building of the Canal over 100 years ago, and everything you see is second or third growth, you understand with... We stopped in Colon, Panama and did this as an excursion from our cruise. We were bussed from the pier to Gamboa Resort and stopped at the bottom of the tram. I has multiple "cars" that fit 5 passengers and a "guide". The ride is very comfortable and we felt very safe. The "guide" reminded of a teen doing a... More
