This was a wonderful trip. Highly recommend it. Went with two friends for overnight stay. Cap'n Carl is a character and entertaining. Mike and Louis showed us so much. From monkeys to baby crocs. Waterfall swimming. Can't say enough.

This trip exceeded expectations! My wife and I started our day being picked up promptly at our hotel in downtown Panama City, and after a comfortable ride to the Gamboa public boat launch, we were on our way. Captain Carl took us through the canal and did a great job of explaining about the canal history, expansion, the freighters, dredges... More

Kayaking to the waterfall and boating on the lake by were fun. Traveling from island to island looking for monkeys was just okay. Traveling from hotel to hotel to pickup guests, waiting at the dock for the other tourists to arrive before embarking on the event, waiting upon return to the dock for the van to arrive to take us... It is called Holiday Madness all over the world. Things can be very busy during the holidays and with larger than normal groups. We do our best to avoid these delays but some things are out of our control. One should keep in mind that at least they are not at work or stuck in a snow storm. Just relax... More

We took our 12 year old son and he loved it. We went kayaking through this very narrow (at times) passage and it was beautiful. We ended up at a waterfall for swimming and jumping off the cliff. We had a great typical lunch back at the floating lodge in the middle of nowhere. We saw monkeys (up close) and... More

Great setting and Capt. Carl is mildly entertaining. But downhill from there. Lots of waiting around, mostly unhelpful guides, potentially sickness-including food, limited actual wildlife, and generally boring. Spend your time elsewhere....waste of about 9 hours.

During the Holiday seasons we find ourselves handleing larger than normal groups. My staff are very good at what they do but some were new. This lead to a few delays that guests normally dont experience. I you take part in our activities I dont think you will be bored unless your in to extreme sports. Also during the Holiday... More

Went on this day trip into the canal and Lake Gatun expecting more than what we got...my fault should know not to expect excellence. Our boat guide was Captain Carl, who it turned out was the owner. He is full of sophomoric jokes, crude comments and an occasional interesting tidbit about the canal or wildlife. He raced his boat around... More

If you read some of our other reviews you will see that this is not an accurate account of our boat tour of the lake. We do a lot more than speed around a couple of islands. The average time of touring by boat is around 1.5 hours. During this time you will see ships transitting the canal, work to... More

I've been on many jungle tours and can definitely recommend that this one is a bit different. Whereas I expected to be canoeing through narrow mangrove swamps and rivers, I was pleased at the variety of the tour. We drove to the boat landing in Gamboa (just before the bridge to Gamboa if you're trying to find it) ourselves, rather... More

We booked this tour privately for something to do on a cruise in the port of Colon. A driver picked up our group right on time for the drive to Gamboa. It is a bit over an hour in light traffic. We meet Captain Carl at the dock and take off in his boat for a tour of Gatun Lake,... More

I really loved this day that I spent with Jungle Land Panama. Captain Carl, knows the right spots where you can appreciate great fauna and flora around the Canal. Besides that we had a great panamanian meal and made a kayak trip to a beautiful waterfall nearby. Totally worth it. Day excursion totally recommended for thise who are in Panama... More

This was an amazing experience, traveling with my dad we stayed the night and had an amazing time. Captain Carl was easy to work with in book the travel, took us on a night time safari, enjoyed hearing and watching the jungle from the floating lodge. Went fishing in the morning, the cook prepared the catch for lunch, kayaked to... More
