After days of travelling around Athens and Crete, Koula made us feel like we were home having a dinner with our new international friends while teaching us some incredible Cretan recipes. The class was group-based in an impressive old house in Vamos, and everyone contributed to the delicious meal we enjoyed at the end. The recipes produced amazing flavor but... More

We really enjoyed our evening. We had a private class for an extended family of 3 adults, and 3 kids: aged 13, 12 and 9. It was a highlight of our time on Crete. Koula was very personable, a great story teller and a great teacher. She let everyone, even the kids, cook every part of the meal. We learned... More

We visited Crete on our honeymoon. We only had a few days there and we were staying on the other side of the island. But we read great things about these cooking classes so we made the 3 hour drive to Vamos. Boy was it worth it! The chef Koula was an amazing teacher! We've never been great cooks but... More

I saw so many amazing things on my trip to Greece, but the jewel in the crown was Vamos. The little village completely took my breath away. And as beautiful as Vamos was, that's not what I think of first when remembering my trip. What I think of before anything else is my cooking lesson with Koula. Koula's kitchen is... More

The people in Vamos have restored local traditions to life in ways that have plenty to offer to visitors. The lessons on the cooking á la Cretans are a great example. I have long been interested in the stated healthiness of Mediterranean kitchen, and thus it was an easy decision to go for Koula's cooking lesson when travelling nearby. The... More

We took the cookin lesson woth our 9 years old son who loved it a s much as we did. The lesson takes place in an ancient olive press. Koula welcomes you as part of the family. You will learn to cook a full traditional cretan meal before tasting it with wine under the stars. Unique. More

Spent an afternoon with chef Koula in Vamos, Crete. What a wonderfully satisfying experience in learning, cooking, and dining the Cretan way. Koula takes you by the hand and shows you the whys of healthy Cretan cooking, then moves on to the hands-on preparation, and finally the delicious results. All accompanied with village wine and raki, the local alcohol served... More

This was a fantastic experience. Firstly it was held in a 200 year old house with the olive press. So pretty. We cooked true authentic Cretan dishes with Mrs Koulas. It was so good to get our hands dirty in preparation of the food. All the dishes we cooked were delicious. It was so good that we all sat down... More
