While exploring Santorini (drove from south to North), we found this winery. We've been to different wineries before, but this winery was exceptional. We walked in and there wasn't a tour guide available to walk us through the wine cellar, but the woman with no to little English kindly invited us to taste their wines. We tasted more than five... We took the bus from Fira which let us off along the main road near the winery. We walked along the entry road which allowed us to view the vines pruned near the ground and also some tomatoes growing on the other side of the street. When we arrived we asked to taste a selection of wines. The man who... More

Lovely little winery with surprisingly good wines for an inexpensive price! I stopped in (without reservations) and had a wine tasting. I could have joined a public tour but was having so much fun chatting with the wine attendant, that I opted not to. At their strong recommendation, I ordered Tomato Balls (OMG - they were AMAZING!) and Fava Puree... More

We came as a group of 6 friends and found nothing here except pay your money and taste a few wines while standing at the bar. No tour. No information. No site visit. We saw a formal tour group sitting at a table, nibbling on hot & cold appetizers and sampling a variety of wines, with someone providing comments, etc.... More

Has to be one of the best settings in the world for a Vineyard. Views amazing. Interesting that the vines grew in nestlike shapes on the ground to avoid the strong winds in Santorini. Delicious local delicacies accompanied the wine tasting. Cheese, cherry tomatoes, etc. Delicious wines, informal situation, all in all, highly recommended of you like wine tasting!

I have been visiting this winery for years now with the small groups that I bring May & Sept to Greece. Boutari, Megalohori, enchants, informs and inspires every time. They are informative, productive and, of course, delicious! More wines, more vineyards--the pioneers of modern wine production and world marketing. They got the ball rolling: re-introducing Greek wines as the balanced,... More

This place was amazing, in general, because of their great wine and VERY informative personel. We went through the 9 wine tour, with a young english guy, with so much knowledge about the wine and its origin in details like no other place. The many other wineries at Santorini has other characteristics like the view, and museum, but this was... More

We had a wonderful afternoon at this winery. Our taste leader was their chemist and he was adorable. Full of information but also lots of fun. We came out with several bottles, all reasonable and all enjoyed. The four of us had a great time. Thanks!

Lovely winery with a large selection of local wines at great prices. It was hard to just choose two bottles to buy! The guide was a young Greek man who was very knowledgeable and passionate about the wines. Wine tasting costs only a few Euros for 3 decent sized samples. It's a bit difficult to find, so make sure you... More
