We spent 4 nights on the beautiful Island of Santorini. What a beautiful experience! One of those days we rented a smart car and enjoyed visiting Boutari Winery. They had a big theater room with a big screen to tell us the history of the the winery and explain how they grow their grapes on the Island. Then o to... More

This winery did the best wine and food pairing that I have ever had (and I've been to several places in Napa/Sonoma, NYS and Italy). First we were given one glass of white wine, and then they brought out appetizers with a different wine. Then came the salad with another. Then another wine that initially I thought was good but... My wife and I took the bus from our hotel to Boutari which was a pretty short trip. If you ask the bus driver to drop you off at the winery, chances are they will. The winery offered a free tour with the purchase of a tasting (either 6 or 8 euros). There were plenty of nice wines to choose... More

We loved this winery. It was not as populated as others-- a hidden gem. And of course, the wine was fantastic!!

My hubby and I have little to no knowledge when it comes to wine but decided to go on a wine tour anyways on our honeymoon. I initially had my heart set on visiting Santos Winery given the wonderful reviews on tripadvisor, but since we did not rent a car (we were too afraid to drive on the narrow cliff... More

Even though there is "no view" at this winery, it's worth a stop. The white wines were great. They are very friendly, very helpful and take a lot of time with you. They also give you a complimentary small plate of cheese, olives, meats and dipping oil to go with your tasting.

Our tour guide on Oceanwave Tours brought us here for a quick tour and tasting. The Vin Santos and whites are especially delightful and a great representation of Greek wines. No high pressure to buy after the tasting as well.

This place is just cool. It's low pro, but still gorgeous and pumping out some fantastic wines. We bought 3 bottles of the Nuxtepi. The guy that served us was super informative and it was nice to get a full explanation of wine on this island. Definitely make this visit.

Boutari offers a free wine tour and also a tasting for 6 euros. Their wine is of high quality and our tour guide was very knowledgable about the history of Santorini wine and Boutari's methods of winemaking. We came away with 3 great bottles.

This was our first winery visit on Santorini and I opted for the 8 Santorini wines for 8 Euros (4 whites, 1 rose, 1 red and 2 sweet wines). Overall I was not a huge fan of any wines except the first one I tried - the Assyrtiko. We did not do the tour so just based on the wine... More
