We rented a car in advance at the port is Souda which gave us maximum usage of our time . The drive from Chania has easy to follow signs. We used a place I found on line Auto club rent a car. They had someone meet us at the boat. The car was clean and drove great. We arranged everything... More

Golden sand, wide beach, clear water - but very quickly becomes deep, carefully with a small child - big waves. Good access by public transport or car from Chania . October temperature - 30°. Pub on the beach.

The drive down to Falssarna looks onto a large expanse of greenhouses which seem out of place by the sea. It doesn't put you in the holiday mood.

Wonderful blue waters and pink sand among rocks. We went end of season and it was very quiet. it was a windy day and there was quite a bit of sand blasting to dodge - but lovely nontheless.

Falassarna is such a beautiful beach but unfortunately full of disguisting umbrellas and so crowded... It smells sunlotion everywhere.. I understand that it is a beautiful place and a lot of people would like to visit it but i think you have to make it look more "natura". I would never go there again... from the other hand i visited... More

The beach was very short drivee off main road. There were umbrellas and sunbeds to hire from a couple of cafes on the beach. There were toilets and changing huts and showers, so everything you could want. Was easy to get in and out of water.

Lovely sandy beach and not as popular as the two others in this area , it is easy to find a place on your own at either end care should be taken as it is rocky but this means great snorkeling. Safe for kids as it is shallow a long way . Fantastic sun sets

We were on this beach as a part of our trip today. The beach itself is nice and sand can be found there. But the surrounding area is agricultural and not so romantic. Unfortunately the weather was windy and we were could not try the water.

Balos might be the first picture that shows up if you search for images on google, but this is in my opinion the best beach in Crete. It has a very fine white sand, shallow but gradually deepening water and there are no rocks under your feet. Overall, a great beach, which should not be left out if you're in... More
