This is a lovely pub with a cracking honest feel to it. We visited as a family of 6 plus our little furry friend, Meg. Not booked, we arrived and were shown to a table. In the bar area there was a wood burner kicking out so much heat it was almost sub tropical in there. Limited menu to choose... More

A lovely Cornish Pub with lots of character and friendly staff. Good range of local beers. My party was 8 and all our meals were very good. I will definitely be back.

Back again in Philleigh and the now wonderful Roseland Inn. Brought some family guests along from Singapore and they absolutely loved it. My fish pie and brother in law's pork steak from the specials board were tremendous. Plus the side vegetables were beautifully fresh. Mushroom risotto and sausages and mashwithmarmalade onion gravy were great. Too full for puddings but they... More

Can only add to the previous excellent reviews. We drove past this Inn on the way to a walk and thought it looked interesting . So decided to treat ourselves to dinner on the way back. Excellently cooked John Dory fillets as was my partner's chicken and ham pie. If you want a slightly unusual desert try the poached pear... More

We have been going to the Roseland Inn for 25 years, as a young couple with and without kids, and now with teenage boys. On a sunny day, sitting outside it can be wonderful. In the restaurant, away from the bar, the food is usually good or very good (it has changed hands a few times). What isn't so good... More

A pub with its own brewery, thats a good start. Friendly staff, good pub food, greats specials board so we had dinner here 3 times over the week. It helped it was only a 15min walk from our accomodation. Great beers and ciders. If you want to dine inside it is worth booking

We only had ciabattas, chips and beer - simple enough - but they were just right. Roast veg, pesto and goat's cheese balanced perfectly. Chicken one great too. Usually I avoid coleslaw but the homemade version here was lovely. Pub's own brew of beer was delicious too. Cheers.

Sunny afternoon over the King Harry Ferry and straight to Philleigh for a drink. Just getting painted outside so bright white against that blue sky. Then I'm being treated to lunch however sandwiches are a bit fancy for my tastes. Whitebait is on the specials board . "Why dont you have a bowl of chips with that?" suggested the friendly... More
