For 2 euros this is a wonderful spot to soak and relax. We went in the later afternoon and it wasn't very crowded. Several of the baths were being worked on so there were only 2 pools availble. Beautiful area and clean changing rooms. Great place to spend a few hours and relax in beautiful setting.

Very nice experience and very cheap. Just 2 Euros per person. We went in the morning and it was not crowded. The pools are small which could be a problem if it is crowded. No hot showers after it. They are expanding with 2 additional pools and creatins hot showers area that is looking very nice.

I visited the thermal baths as part of a tour with Greenzone. This was really a great part of the day. Often, thermal baths are rather spoilt by dirty or uninspiring surroundings but no such problem here. The changing rooms were spotlessly clean. The pools were surrounded by cedar decks and the view of the river and surrounding area was... More

We pretty much visited this spot like 7 times in the seven days we were here. It may seem a little hard to get to, but it is worth it. It is very cheap and you can go to the furthest one which is the hottest one, and it is amazing. Do take note, the sulphur is very hard to... More

What can i say - we spent 7 days in Sao Miguel and visited Poca Da Dona Beija 5 times. Entry fee is only 2 EURO per person (as of March 2015). You can also rent a towl for 2 EURO. Friday->Sunday nights are crowded - weeknights and during the day is less busy.

We visited here as part of a day long tour with Pedro from Azores Tours. The decks were under construction , but the bath/changing rooms were available and very clean. We did not take a dip, but did check out the different pool temperatures. Cute lttle gift shop here!

If you go to Furnas you have to come here, its wonderful to take a hot bath in these pools. Very unique experience that you will never forget. Remember you bathing clothes will get misscolored, and your towel too. And don't worry about the weather - don't hasitate if its raining, its wonderful to be in the hot water in... More

Great thermal waters - several pools with different temperatures. The waters were high in iron, made your skin feel great...but it took a few washings to get the iron our of our swimsuits. They kept the beautiful natural landscaping. They are in process of constructing 2 additional pools.

Visiting the pools of Poca Da Dona Beija was the perfect way for me to unwind on vacation and really appreciate the natural beauty of Sao Miguel. Beyond the visceral pleasure of a hot soak in a natural geothermal pool, the tranquility of Poca Da Dona Beija's secluded island locale facilitated thoughts of peace and serenity...of enduring time, and the...
