You must not miss a visit to Poca Da Dona Beija! Soak in the naturally warmed water during the day or night. It was a perfect thing to do on a day we had fog & rough seas, but make time to visit even in nice weather. Super relaxing. We followed the signs from Furnas. There is ample parking in... More

Loved these natural hot springs so much, we visited twice. Super cool property, so lush and cool. Nominal fee of 2 euros to get in. A great way to relax after a hike down to Lagoa Furnas, and a big pot of Cozida! The sad part, is that this brickish colored water permanently tinted my newly colored fake blonde hair! If... More

It costs only 2 euros to get in,they have dreesing rooms and showers and it is absolutely unspoiled nature. You don't have to be afraid of encountering a crowd of people.Just take your swmming suit and prepare to relax in one of the pools with thermal waters.Faboulous experience!

During a 7-day visit to Sao Miguel we came here twice! Just two euros admission for as long as you want to stay - and it's open until 11pm! There are several different areas to enjoy the naturally warm water. As a self-confessed germaphobe I usually don't go into public pools, but these waters are clean, natural and constantly flowing.... More

Only a few Euros allows entrance in the sulphur pools which are open from morning til night, (i believe 11pm!) Very relaxing to sit in the pools of about 3.5 feet and let the small waterfalls pour onto your neck! This is the site of a natural spring, popular with the locals, and man built around it to allow the... More

Friends showed us this place and it was quite the find. A little hard to get to if you didn't have clear instructions...Different levels of natural iron/ sulphur pools progress from warm to hot in adjoining areas..Neck, shoulder and back massages provided by water gushing from different areas in the pools make the experience very enjoyable and relaxing. No food... More

At mid week in our visit on Sao Miguel we stopped in Furnas. We were fortunate to get there just in time to see the meals drawn up from the ground, and lucky too, to eat the delicious geo-thermal cooked foods at Tony's. Three of us ate two meals and had some left for another day! Afterwards we went to... More

There are two hot springs in Furnas: this one and the one at Terra Nostra Garden Hotel. The latter is 5 euros and closes earlier, although it apparently has very nice gardens. I can't speak to the other one, but Poca da Dona Beija was fantastic. It was raining and night-time when we went (the best time to go accordingly... More

We visited this "pool" on a Friday evening. It was so great under the sky full of stars in a bath with only locals. You can't buy any food, can't take a warm shower, there are no lockers but still it was only enjoying. We loved this place and if we would every visit again, we will definitely go there... More
