Would highly recommend visiting this beautiful beach early in the day or late in the evening. It's very well maintained and much less commercialized than other similar beaches in the sun resorts. Lovely views of the red cliffs stretching back to Olhos de Agua. Nice, soft, white sand. A must see.

looking out every morning and seeing the work all the Reichstag do before people go on the beach to enjoy themselves is a joy to behold.

Staying at the Porto Bay Falesia Hotel it is easy to visit this beach walking down the steps via the Luna Mar Apartments. Alternatively, vehicles can be driven down via a longer bumpy route but parking is limited and difficult at weekends or public holidays. There is a café with toilets as you reach the beach and lifeguards on duty... More

Great beach for an evening stroll and seashell exploration. Specmtacular sunset. Beware though the walk is so easy you can get a long way from your starting point and have to navigate back by moonlight.......

Sought out this beach after reading the reviews and we weren't disappointed.Beautiful surroundings, and very quiet. We parked at the top of the road and walked down, but steep on the way back, but the car was shaded so worth it.Would recommend

A great way to start the day, climbing the 135 steps down from the Porto Bay Falsia hotel and strolling along this sandy beach's long stretches.

Beautiful long sandy beach you can relax and unwind sunbathing and swimming or go for long walks across the beach. We had a long walk to the beach but what a walk through beautiful gardens and then the view. Stunning cliffs of red sand vary with the colour of the green pine trees and the blue sea on the horizon... More

Very English/Portugese now getting a bit tatty. Walks up the hills a bit daunting unless you are young/fit. Reasonable choice of restaurants but many tend to be 'Italian' themed.
