Played San Lorenzo twice last week, on the first occasion the greens were fluffy and very slow though clearly this had been rectified on Saturday. Course itself remains one to play though having played Quinta North i would suggest the attention to detail re buggies needs looking at, at San Lorenzo where there is no GPS, towel, tees or drinks... Having played Pinheiros Altos the day before, we had high hopes of San Lorenzo. It was a beautiful day and excitement and tension were high. Being a lads golfing holiday in Portugal, we'd obviously been out the night before and were keen to hit some balls on the range to loosen up. At Pinheiros, we were amazed with the facilities,... Played here on a beautiful April morning. Although not long this course is tough - water, tight drives etc. Course in great condition. Not cheap but deals available for €130 on line Buggy not required - easily walkable and an enjoyable experience.

This course is simply phenomenal!!! Ranks as my number 1... Yes lanrajal is good along with the Quinta South and North courses. Oitavos Dunes near Lisbon officially ranks higher but San Lorenzo in my view beats them all comfortably... Double dog legs, great geography and the coastal holes are spectacular.. Expensive round but would happily keep paying this fee....

This course is one of the most beautiful and interesting courses one can play: every hole is a gem. The only downsides are the lack of a good Pro shop and rather old buggies.

Played San Lorenzo 3 and 5 April. It was an absolute dream to play. The course itself is excellent. There is not one single hole I didn't like. Every one is distinctive. The course was in excellent condition and the greens were excellent and true. I couldn't fault it and is one of the best courses I've played anywhere in... More

San Lorenzo is a lovely golf course but they are becoming complacent. My husband and I have travel extensively all over the world playing golf and I have to agree with an earlier comment that SL is looking tired and overplayed. The staff are very pleasant but there are NO checks on handicap certificates and a 5 hour round is... More

Although I hadn't played this course for a couple of years I found it just as challenging, if anything the changes that have been made have been for the best,I think the back nine are a very good test of anyones golf,The drinks and food in the clubhouse are a bit on the expensive side, but overall a very enjoyable day.

Once again very impressed with the staff and the course, the weather had been quite frosty and the staff explained that the fairways were brown, this did not effect the golf in any way and the greens were magnificent, do not get above the hole. We are already talking of going back next year and I know how hard it... More

We played this course as part of a hotel deal as green fees are too steep for any average golfer. We loved it even though the fairways were very wet and the greens nearly unplayable. The lay-out and the views made up for this. Hope to come back one day.
