The location is absolutely stunning. It is a little bit of trek to get here. It's about a 30 to 45 minute steep climb. However, once you get here you will not be disappointed as the location is wonderful. Sand on the beach is a little disappointing and water is cold but I guess that's normal at this time of... More

Lovely place because of the palm forrest in the background, After a walk in the forrest and a hike in the gorge, it is nice to have a swim in the sea.

This beach is beautiful! You drive by the monastery to get here. It is a long hike down to the beach but well worth it. There is a small Taverna on the beach and plenty of shade if needed. The beach is very rocky so make sure to bring water shoes, you will walk through a small fresh water lagoon... More

One thing those the so called experts don't mention is the climb up the mountain after your visit. The beach is mostly rocky. A taverna actually refills water bottles and sell them as new. On the other hand if you want a good work out and bring your own water, go for it.

Finding this place one has to follow monastery signs. Enterring the parking lot is charged by 2 €, from there you have to descend several rocky stairs, that is pretty steep and trains your footwear. On the top there is a brilliant view on the place. Uniqueness vests in a river meeting the sea, palms and beach. The palms along... More

such a beautiful oasis, however it's a long walk down the mountain on hundreds of steps and what goes down.... must come back up.Highly recommended but if you have knee or hip joint or lower limb problems I wouldn't chance it .

Excellent, beautiful beach. Shade from tamarisk trees at the back of the beach really suited me! Worth walking through the palm forest to see more of the gorge.

Be prepared for a long walk down to the beach, but it is spectacular seeing the red mountainous rocks and then you get down to the bottom to see the river and the palm trees. We tried to start walking along the river (there is a track that takes you through the trees), but were encountered with some wasps that... More

Many many steps with a sheer drop to one side to get to the beach. Mostly shingle/sand. An interesting river runs down to the sea with many palm trees giving a tropical feeling. Only attempt this if you have good shoes and are fit!

We drove by car to the parking lot above the beach, way above. The other route is an unpaved road which I do not know if it actually reaches the beach. We hiked down lots of stairs to reach the Beach at the estuary of the Kourtaliotis river. There is a small lagoon at the river mouth before the river... More
