Reaching: Ok, 1st i have to say that we had a toddler with us so this is a review from that point of view, we chose that longer way to get there. The beach had many stairs to walk down, and we didn't were scare of that, actually it wasn't so hard to reach that many reviews say. The way... More

Getting to the beach itself was trouble, never mind going back! It's better to not go here with any kind if beach shoes here, better to take something more suitable for climbing here - but it was worth it. Scenery was absolutely breathtaking, both when going up or down or just sitting on the beach. One can choose between cold... More

Last year we discovered western part of Crete, this year the eastern part. All together once we have visited many many beaches it came into my mind that Prevely is nothing compared to Crissy, Vai or many other hidden beaches. Too crowdy, the path to the beach too steap and there is no breathtaking view wich would await you down... More

If you are looking for a bit of an adventure in the middle of August with sweat coming down from all parts of your body this is it. Trainers are a must otherwise you are heading for aching bodies if you are not fit enough. We did not know that of course. Huge mistake not checking trip advisor before heading... More

We walked down the cliff to get to the beach. If you read in guide book that it's a bit of a hike......don't be fooled .... This is a proper full on stair climb down and back up again. It's steep , rocky and in some places slippery. In the heat of the day it's too much like hard work.... More

The views onto the palm beach with the river is really beautiful and unique. The beach itself however was quite disappointing. A bit dirty, crowded, windy and there is not really sand but small black pebbles. A lot of ships stop in the bay and drop off tourists and the water was not as clean as in other places we... More

Yes, it is a busy beach in August. Yes, the walk down is steep and the one back up is a bit challenging. And yes, the road to Preveli beach from Rethymno is quite curvy. But, but, but... once there, we enjoyed a perfect day swimming in some of the clearest waters we've ever experienced along the coast to the... More

There is a decent parking lot at the beginning of the trek down and it cost around 2EUR. The trek down was a bit steep but it wasn't so difficult because there is a well-set stairs there. Those who hate the stairs can make their own trail, which we did to add more adventure. there is also another way to... More

An absolutely must see place. Like anything else on the island. Words can not describe it. Rent a car and just go there.
