Beautiful, informative, and then there's the RUM!

The grounds are beautiful and impeccably maintained, and if you have a bit of time and good weather you'll be remiss if you didn't spend a few hours walking around. We did the... read more

I have bad knees and a bad hip. The stairs on this tour do not have rails to hold on to. The only stairs with railings are in the distillery. At the end of the tour, I wasn't interested in rum tasting as much as I was in getting rehydrated with water. If you aren't comfortable climbing stairs without something... More

The grounds are beautiful and impeccably maintained, and if you have a bit of time and good weather you'll be remiss if you didn't spend a few hours walking around. We did the self guided tour and took our time about it. A few spots are steep, which could be a problem for some, but otherwise this is a great... More

Perfectly organised and in beautiful setting.Although probably main idea is to sell their product line, which can all be tested for free, you get feeling for earlier life on a plantation.I found slave history and actual early working descriptions a bit light and probably reality was harsher.the original creole house makes the complete trip worthwhile, although 12 Euro entrance fee a bit high.The... Recommend purchase of the recorded tours - attending the movie on Mitterand Bush summit there at the end of the first Iraq war - visiting the beautiful Creole home of the plantation owners with all its furnishings - and stopping to sample the difference between rhum of different ages.

Great for the gardens and old house. Crowds are mostly their for the rum tasting and don't venture much beyond the bar. Ask for English audio tours.

For 12 Euros you get an audio guide and map which will let you learn about the history of rum making at Habitation Clement - and tastes of rum afterwards. The property is striking and includes a beautiful outdoor modern art sculpture garden that we really enjoyed. The old rum factory is fascinating and the audio guide really helped. There's... More

With the visit at the Habitation Clement you really have the chance to get an understanding of the rum production. A lovely walk in the gardens around the Habitation and a wonderful insight of the rum stocking. The habitation itself is well preserve and with its many pictures gives an idea of the Martinique story. The visit ends with the... More

We decided to leave the resort and venture up the coast to one of the many distilleries on the island. At the petrol station, the attendant suggested Habitation Clement and OH was it worth it. The preservation of the history of the distillery and its brew masters over the years is spectacular. It's easy to see why this distillery comes... More

This place is so pretty and gorgeous! A glimpse into Caribbean rum heyday. It is free to walk around tour the place. They charge you for the walkie talkie looking thing and the rum tasting which I think is only worth it if you're not the designated driver. The tour could last 2 hours if you are taking your time... Clement was a fun tour but for the entrance fee, I little mundane and very touristy. Our favorite parts were the rum tastings and picnicking in their beautiful garden in the shade of banana trees. Their rum is quite good and they are very free flowing with the samples! I would recommend anyone going to Martinique for the first time,... More
