The day starts early in the morning with delightful breakfasts, homemade sweets and uber-fresh fruits from the Pirate's kitchen. The menu shifts after sunset, leaving space to a wide array of fresh cocktails prepared by the mixologist of island's best stocked bar, to enjoy in a laid back atmosphere with the suggestive views of the port.

Was a bit disappointed to be honest. Tried it a couple of times. Thought the wait staff was rude. Not cool. There are plenty of other options where one gets treated very sweetly and kindly. Vacations are rare. So I won't be patronizing in future.

This is one of Greece best Island secrets. A beautiful Island full of history mountains, beaches great food, 90 mintues out of Piraeus which is the port of Athens by hydrofoil, or 4 hrs. by ferry. There are no cars or trucks or,motorcycles allowed on Hydra! You have to walk, take a donkey, or water taxi. My dad was born here in... More

I had only a coffee because that's what I needed at 2 pm on a hot afternoon, and I didn't feel welcome at all. I was looked at in a strange way because it was only a coffee and it was onlmeome person, but if I were treated well I would have probably come back in the evening for some... More

This is a cafe in a row of cafes along the port in Hydra. I don't remember why we choose this one but I am so happy we did. It was the best food by far that we had enjoyed during our first four days in Greece. We both order specials, which I highly recommend. Eat whatever is the special... More

Whilst in Athens, my girlfriend and I wanted to escape the bustle and having read the Lonely Planet Guide to Greece, we went to Hydra. Its in the top twenty places to visit on the whole of Greece and this Cafe-Bar should be your first stop! We had a fantastic lunch with some awesome pistachio milkshakes. The prices are just... Fantastic location in the harbour. Perfect place for breakfast, and I can recommend the Pirate omelette, the fruit salad and the friendly staff. Absolutely lovely place to hang out any time of the day.

It was my home from home while staying on Hydra , I had lunch there & hung out most days as weather was not great. The family who run it were very friendly & welcoming and serve delicious daily home cooked specials as well as good cafe menu. Great location for harbour views and people watching with a few glasses... More

A long standing Hydra favourite, Pirate bar is an excellent spot to meet up with friends or sit alone and watch the world go by. It's ideally positioned down at the harbour and works as well for a morning coffee as it does for a late night drink. The staff are professionals - friendly and efficient. A great bar, in... More
