Owner description: Captain George has been sailing the Aegean for over 25 years and is the creator of the sunset cruise in its present form. It all started back in the 80’s when he started BBQ cruises on various islands in the Aegean – reminiscent of the Australian weekends of his youth. The sunset cruise he created here on Santorini started out as an afternoon swim at the most popular spots on the island. The Red and White beach the Hot springs and the south bay of the volcano or Aspronisi. Although now almost 30 other boats have copied the idea, the original can only be experienced with Capt. George.

We recently did a sunset cruise with Capt. George and Michael and it was one of the best parts about our trip to Greece! We had decided last minute to see if we could get on a cruise and Capt. George was so helpful and accommodating (we were there end of the season). We saw these massive tour boats that... More

The best travel experience of my life. Everything about it was perfect. The glowing reviews do not do this justice. Better than words can describe. If you are here reading the reviews you need to book it now. You cannot miss this. Every single moment of the day was perfect. They say money can't buy happiness, but it can book... More

I can best describe this day as being one of those rare "perfect days" in life. Our small pre-wedding party of ten had an idyllic day sailing with Captain George. His sailboat was so charming, beautiful and comfortable. Captain George was a lovely, friendly and engaging man. He made our sailing adventure so personal and private, keeping us in secluded... More

This was perhaps the best day of our trip to Greece (and it was a fabulous trip). Captain George was a great host, and is very knowledgable about the island. The cruise was relaxing and wonderful and everything is taken care of, from food and drinks to transport. I would highly reccommend the sunset cruise, especially for couples.

Forget crowded day trip boats. Forget the fleet of catamarans that follow each other out of harbour and parade around the sights of the caldera. This is the original. The boat is a lovely old sailing boat and Captain George has been sailing the islands for decades. He knows everything about Santa's and will regail you with stories about the... More

Our day at sea with captain george was a dream… we were a family group of 6 on holiday in santorini. Captain george picked us up at our villa and took us down to his boat. His explanations were thorough and we really got a feel for the island. He prepared a feast for us! Me and my dad are... More

This was one of the highlights of our two week trip to Athens, Corinth and Santorini. What a lovely afternoon of spectacular sights, wonderful swimming in warm water, friendly and relaxed staff, decent wine :), lovely fresh fruit and other snacks... and all on board on a super-cool wooden sailboat captained by G. We were a group of about 14... More

Thank you to Captain George and Dimitri for the most special sunset sail in Santorini! Captain George stops at all the right places, but more importantly at the right time to avoid the crowds. We stopped at the white beach for a swim in the clear blue waters, before the traditional stop at the hot springs. Captain George and Dimitri... More

A big group of us were in Santorini for a friends wedding. I had organized an afternoon on the water for the group with Captain George. By far this was the highlight of the trip for everyone. Captain George was amazing and was able to accommodate a large, loud, booze loving group of Americans. I highly recommend booking a day... More

I had a great time and Captain George was very nice, but it would be hard to truly classify this as a sailing trip. Despite reasonable breezes and a sailboat, we motored the entire time, and almost never had so much as a sail up. The port is at the far southern end of Santorini, but to get to the... More

Thanks for the review nda99 This cruise is not about testing people limits - It's a cruise to see, swim and enjoy the sites of this unique place ! On the day you sailed with us the wind didn't exceed 12 knots -- 3 Beaufort ( http://www.windfinder.com/windstatistics/santorini ) which on one hand we had very small waves that for most... More
