I had read about this tour that encouraged people to get off the bus and we did just that. The Connolly farm is not only in the Burren, they happen to own one or two of the rolling, rocky, hills and some of the land in between and they delight in sharing the rugged beauty and history of where they live.... We went on the 3 hour tour which was wonderful. We had a small group of only 7 people plus Dara, our guide. (Congrats to him on his recent wedding! :-) Our hike went from pasture to rocky mountain tops to 1,000 year old church ruins and finished up with a chat with the local farmer. The day was gray, but... Sometimes, everything just comes together. It was like that for us on the walk on the Connolly farm in the Burren. 2 and a half hours of spectacular views as we climbed the steep, rocky hills rising behind their farm and little cafe near Corcomroe Abbey. A quick stop for tea and chocolate as Dave brewed it up in his... More

Sadly we ended up on a 40+ Healy tour, which dropped us off at farm. Since only two of us got off, we were hopeful, but, the next bus dropped another 25+ people for the same tour. Half of the crowd was young "adults" more interested in horsing around than listening. Listening was difficult, as there was no microphone, and... More

I am studying in Galway for the semester and this was the first tour that my friends and I decided to do. That was about three months ago, in January, and it is still by far my favorite tour. We used Lally Tour Company from Galway City and they give you the option to stop at the Connolly farm for... More

Arrived unexpected not having booked, absolutely no problem. Darragh our guide was a great guy with all the local knowledge. Views were breathtaking a truly enjoyable experience. Having finished the walk took a stroll into the chocolate factory. Kasha and her team were inside busy making chocolate but yet took the time to come and chat. Chocolates are yummie, you... More

I did this tour in May 2013 and it blew me away with how personable, genuine and fantastic every single member of the team was. The tour of the family farm was so wonderful, John was so knowledgable, fun and cheeky! Despite my epic hangover from the night before I thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt something along the way as... We enjoyed a wonderful day out with John our guide, truly a beautiful place to visit. It was a very homely and lovely experience during the walk up and at the Granny's farmhouse cottage. After a long and pleasant hike up to the rocks, some tea and highly appetizing cakes would await you at the cute little Granny house.

My girlfriends and I spent one week in Ireland in mid-October. The tour of the Connelly property and amazing cake and tea that followed was hands down the best part of my trip. The personal attention, history, and breathtaking views are unbeatable. I would highly recommend this and I hope to return.
