We visited Rathwood for the first time. Well worth the trip. ( from galway). We had beautiful food in the restaurant. Did some shopping in their fab shop. The Santa Train was very well organised, the elves were brilliant and great fun. Would highly recommend it!

Rathwood is a nice place to visit: it is a good shopping destination and has an excellent restaurant. Each Christmas, an added attraction is Santa's Train. This includes collecting reindeer food for Rudolph, face painting for all, meeting Mrs. Claus, and finally taking the train to meet Santa, who takes ample time to speak to each child, before giving them... Travelled down from Dublin to go on the Halloween Pumpkin Train and were totally disappointed with the experience. We were seated in the forth carriage of the train and the girl who,was acting out a part spent her time in the first and second carriage so we could hear nothing she was saying as speaker reception was useless. The girl... More

We went for a lovely walk here and you couldn't fault how well kept the entire area is. The scenery is beautiful. Didn't have anything to eat or drink here so that made it absolutely free for us. Would have liked to see the train on more than twice a day as children would love it.

Is this this a garden centre or a boutique? Do you realise that Rob Roberts coffee is a terrible tasting coffee? The childrens playground is nice but its a long way to go to realise that maybe it might only be worth going here for Xmas!

We visited recently with friends and six year old daughter. She loved the train ride through the forest and the highlight was feeding the geese. Great fun for young ones. We then took the tour through the new maize, which is shaped like Ireland and we had to mark each county as we found it. Great way of learning. Very... More
