Excellent day in Rathwood last Sunday with our 4 year old. From start to end the santa train was excellent. Loved collecting the reindeer food. meeting Mrs Claus, going on the train, walking through the woods and meeting Santa ( who was excellent...). The food in the restaurant top class. Great value for money, lovely Christmas gift. Will definitely be... More

The Rathwood Santa train is a magical experience from start to finish. we brought two young children age 5 and 3 and they were just so delighted. It is a wonderful family day out. We went early and had food in restaurant. The food was excellent and there are loads of options for the kids, even a little game included... More

With a 6yo and a 2yo I've been on a few Santa trains. I've found that the first year they're great and after that it's all very rushed and disappointing. Rathwood breaks this mould and gets better every single year and today was no different. The kids get to fill their reindeer bottles with food before going in to see... More

We had a great day today with our seven and three year old. From start to end the experience was magical. We had a lovely time- Mrs. Claus, Doc, Jack Frost and all the elves were great. Santa was a real star. Our children were enthralled by the magic. We ate in the restaurant as well which was nice and... More

Just back from Seeing Santa in Rathwood from the minute you get there until you leave it was brilliant. Mrs Claus telling her story, face painting, elves playing Games, jack frost was brilliant. The elves made me laugh so much and Santa was the nicest Santa I had screen in years my children were 5 and 9 and both said... More

I can agree with the disappointing reviews on Rathwood. Its a shame as the experience starts off well with face painting and meeting Mrs Claus but once you disembark the train then it gets farsical with young teenagers acting as elfs being loud, obnoxious and boisterous scaring our 2yr old and other toddlers waiting to see Santa. Its not the... More

Having heard so much about how good and magical this was I was really looking forward to going with our 6 and 4 year old. Went at 6.30 on a cold Friday evening so had all the atmosphere. Started off well in little holding room and with Mrs clause story's but dramatically downhill after that. Jack Frost appeared and all... More

Just back from our visit to the Santa Train in Rathwood today, hugely dissappointed. To think we had to book tickets for that experience back in September is unbelievable. How they recruit the elves for this place,i dont know. They were rude, abrupt, cheeky and definately not the right people to have entertaining children. Many of the children including my own were actually frightened by them.Apart from... Would advise strongly bringing kids to Rathwood Santa train, started off good with Mrs Claus but went downhill after that. Male elf's in their late teens, early twenties are a terrible idea. Young kids, not just ours were scared by them. They were loud and not suited to entertaining children. Really disappointing for our lads. Whole experience leaves you feeling... More

I heard so much about R.Wood, On first arrival I was impressed and expected it to be a great experience for my family. The reindeer food was great along with the face paints, then onto Mrs. Clause who was great & the doctor. Out to the train with Jack Frost who looked homeless and was very "in your face". When...
