This attraction deserves full marks but not for the animals or the flowers of which you will see none. The "animal flower" is a type of live moss (the flower) that when touched will shrink away like an animal but if you're hoping for lush gardens, monkeys and/or bird sightings you will likely be disappointed. Instead this is a beautiful... More

As other reviewers have stated navigation off the main highways is a little eccentric. North Point, adjacent to the cave, has scenery which is spectacular and nostalgic, reminding me strongly of Portland Bill, close to my childhood home. Well Worth a trip, just keep going north and follow the hand painted 'CAVE' signs as you approach. Bumpy roads with pot... More

I cannot comment on the actual caves , we didn't get around to going into them. However the adjacent coastline is well worth the effort of the short walk it takes. The waves crashing up the cliffs are spectacular to put it mildly. The cafe at the cave is good value and currently being refurbished, the car park is free.... More

My partner and I hired a car to do a tour of the island and headed for the North Shore to stumble across the Animal Flower Cave. First recommendation get a 4x4 as the roads in Barbados are bad and also get a sat nav! Its only a small island but sign posts are limited and you often find yourself... More

Of all the beauty here, this one was most unique, awesome, breath taking, impressive and awe inspiring work of creation. To see the waves come in and hit the rocks and shoot upwards over a hundred feet is astonishing. The blue water and white foam is so beautiful. Yes it is a little hard to find but just look for... Took us an hour and a bit to drive from oistens. Beautiful cliff top views of waves smashing against huge rock formations. Caves are like something from a pirate movie .. very cool. Also nice to have your own guide.

Not easy to find but worth the effort. Don't be put off by the apparent shambles of the place. The guide was interesting and the views from the cliff above the caves amazing. Wear some sturdy shoes. Not really suitable for small children. Very big steps down into the cave and slippy underfoot. We enjoyed the visit.

The views are amazing and worth seeing! The tour is a little short and not really worth the money you pay! You can see most of it from the outside... Save your pennies

An hours drive across potholed roads to arrive at obviously a money spinning scam. $20 Barbadian dollars and you will be allowed to stumble down 27 steep wet steps down to a large dank and empty cavern. Once there you take off your shoes and stagger across slippery stones and cobbles to reach a stagnant pool where gullible tourists were... More

It took us over 3 hours to find this place coming from the southeastern part of the island but it was worth it. One of the most amazing sights I have seen in my travels. It is very laid back but the guide was knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend wearing teva type shoes or water socks. I literally blew... More
