Although we were told that not many orchids were in flower the display was still breath taking. If you like orchids this place is a must. Very colourful pretty garden too. The web site says it is open til 5 pm but in fact it closes at 4. Nice to visit in the cooler morning or afternoon although there is... More

my local taxi took me to Orchid World, it was out of flowering season January But what a really spectacular garden with peace and tranquillity little birds everywhere Nectar jars hung in trees for humming birds to drink from. A small piece of green heaven in the bright sun of Barbados. The Orchids were still SPECTACULAR blooms of every type... More

A beautiful setting with some stunning orchids and ferns. Our guide, Andrew, was friendly and extremely knowledgeable giving tips on how to grow orchids and make perfume from them. A lovely place to have a wander round and enjoy.

It's a bit out of the way and 800 feet above sea level, but in a wonderful valley just right for growing. Friendly place, a guide is possible. In December when we visited there were orchids under cover but more to see and lots of other plants in the gardens. The paths wind around ondifferent levels. There are wheelchair facilities... More

Once again after getting somewhat lost we found this truly delightful garden. The unseasonal weather meant that quite a few of the plants were late but even so it was a lovely place of peace and tranquility to visit. Don't be put off by thinking it is just Orchids there is much more to the garden than this.

We found Orchid World by accident after another wrong turn. We were shown into a parking space by a member of staff, the Receptionist made us welcome and as it was tending to rain produced a large umbrella to take with us. We did the long walk, not too far even for older legs, (seating in various spots), and found... More

We visited Orchid World while we stopped in Barbados on a cruise. We were a group of 7 so we decided to do our own itinerary and were not disappointed by deciding to go to Orchid World. We were the only party when we arrived so we got to take our time and tour. It is not a huge place... More

Visited as part of a cruise excursion. We were the only group present, so had the privilege of having the gardens to ourselves. The varieties of orchids are amazing; it would we wonderful to see them when they are all in bloom. Lovely gem of a place.

The day we went it was very quiet with so few visitors it was almost like being able to tour the gardens in private. We didn't have a guide, just wandered around at will which suited us. There weren't a tremendous number of orchids in flower, it was the wrong time of year for the best display but we still... More

We went here as part of a package from a cruise, and although I am not into flowers it was a very good trip. The guide, Deborah, kept the guests informed at all points of the tour, explaining the different orchids and plants on show. At the end of the visit there was a small shop to view and also... More
