I would highly recommend visiting the reserve. The monkeys that are frequently spotted here are wild and you can therefore be unlucky to miss them, I’ve heard. However, we were lucky. Before we even entered the reserve we saw the first monkey in the car park. They don’t mind humans and take hardly notice of you, but as they are... More

We went here for a couple of hours with our 2 teenage children. We had a lovely walk around and then went to see the feeding of the animals. As soon as they put the food down (a massive wheelbarrow full) the deer and tortoises came running (slowly in the tortoises' case!). We probably waited for about 1/2 hour before... More

We arrived about 1:30 PM on our private tour of the North end of Island and we were able to be there in the park for feeding time. The monkeys, tortise and deer were heading down to the feeding area so we had lots of pictures on the way. When they fed the animals the monkeys came in and stayed... More

This is a beautiful place to visit. By far, the best part of it for me was spending time with the green monkeys. They seem so content here. In the forested area to the right of the parking lot where you pay to get in, they come around to feed. The area is so natural, not a touristy feeling that... More

This was a fun couple of hours... You walk around the reserve with monkeys, deer, peacocks and turtles.... if you go at 2:00pm they feed the animals and they come from all over the reserve all to one spot...they also have a python in a cage that they feed at 2pm too... you could see the lump of the chicken... The highlight of this place is seeing the monkeys in the nearby forest and grassy knoll areas. They are habituated to people so they aren't spooked by our presence and will allow you to observe them. It's quite a spectacular treat to find them in a playful mood. And the mom's with babies are awesome to see. The 'zoo' part... More

We've been there many times. Best way is to get a bus to Speightown bus terminal, then another bus to the Reserve. Get there early for a good look around. The animals are fed at about 2.00 pm - the tortoises start their journeys to the feeding station(s) quite early - but they know where to go even if it... More
