Booked lodge for family group of 5 - 2 bedrooms, 5 th bed on mezzanine - really only suitable for youth. Accessed up steep ladder, my son could not stand upright in it, and there was no electric socket there for his charger, laptop etc. there were only seats for 4 in the lounge, so one of us sat on... Writing this on behalf of my husband who attended a 3 day level 3 sailing course. Course was good, achieved my level 3 with the help of competent instructors who taught me what I needed to know. More wind would have helped - but this was not in anyone's control!!! The equipment was very good. Choice of boats. Food -... More

If you get the weather would recommend a visit, perfect for adults & kids. Wide variety of water sports including kayaks, canoe, sailing etc. all reasonably priced & great fun. You can also pay for classes which we did & kids had great fun learning to sail. The instructors are all great & know what they are talking about. All... More

Having been to Loch Garten and its nearby Osprey centre, where everything is one or two removed, i.e. watching the birds through television..Loch Insh was a treat..we could see the ospreys much closer and it felt.. wilder than in Garten. Lots of photographers were parked there and appreciative of the majestic flappping of wings over the nests. Loch Inch is... More

On paying over £100 to this facility, I found the attitude of the manager and staff to be some what dismissive and rude. Instructions were not clear and there was no guidance. Seemed to me that we where being left to get on with it. We were then informed we had taken the wrong boats, a problem that would not... More

I remember the incident well. I am not in the habit of being shouted at on the basis that the gentleman (Matt W) did not understand the directions he was given. On accosting me he was advised to calm down and that he had gone to the wrong location for where the canoes were to be found. Subsequently he left... More

Recent stay at Loch Insh was a return visit for my wife and me. We returned for the the quiet privacy of the cabin, the covenience of keeping up online with the free broadband in the restaurant, and the watersports. I have been windsurfing for 40 years and never had instruction or certification, and the expert instructor Johnny taught me... More

We are serial users of the Loch Insh chalets and watersports, and we recommend them heighly to all of our friends, acquaintances and relatives. We do so because this holiday provides us with a blissful, relaxing break from the frenetic everyday existence which we experience during our working year. The watersports are available free of charge for three hours a... More
