Crystalline sea water, lost in the middle of a reserve, amazing sea surrounded by nature. Deserved everything, the limited parking slot, the 1.5km walk, the worst food camper ever… But the place is amazing!

The location is indeed beautiful but the beach was already far too crowded on an early June afternoon. I wonder what it must be like in the summer! It is a shame as such a lovely cove should be made available only to few people. I understand I am talking nonsense, but one cannot really enjoy such an amazing scenary... More

As local, Ihave been there already few time. Today (Sept 04 2013) we were warned at the entrance gate that the beach and the access road are infested by bee and other flyes called Tafani (search google for pictures and dangers). We decided not to go as the beach is a long way walking to the car park to avoid... More

We were very excited about going to Cala Violina, after hearing so many positive comments from locals. The beach itself is very picturesque, set in a small cove, with lovely views. However, it is incredibly overcrowded in August. After paying 6 Euros to park, we trekked through the woods on a 30 minute hike, carrying beach gear, children and a... More

Rent a dingi and navigate from the Marina to the Cala Violina to spend the day there. Join the beach swimming and enjoy a great picknick there. Discover the Stella di Mare in the Sea while snorckling

Do not step out the trail! Or you'll get lost, as we were :). Especially during hot summer time weather :-) Sea was wonderful and perfectly clean, the beach not large but nice. Worth walking as the only way to get there.

If u want to stay away from the typical sea side place and you like a nice walk, then you should try this one out. After 15min walk in a nice enviroment you will fid yourself in a very nice beach with blue water. If you find yourself in Tuscany ( not in August!!!! Too many peole) during summer you... More

Definitely worth the 2 km hike (or mountain bike) from the parking lot to the beach (we parked off the main road between Castiglione and Follonica, before the turn off to Punta Ala if you come from Follonica). Bring water/food as there is nothing there. Great snorkling on the north side of the beach (see picture) ! No bathrooms either..

A little nice beach with clear water. Be careful: after the parking, you have to walk 1,5 km, and the beach can be crowded.
