Disclaimer: coming from south east Asia myself, markets like this are nothing special to me, having visited numerous ones in Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. The Bophut walking street is massive, bringing you all the way down fisherman's village past the fancy seafood restaurants. The stalls mainly sell souvenirs, tshirts and tank tops etc. there are cocktails for as little as... More

We were lucky to be at Samui on Friday, when the walking street comes to life. We ate almost everything that was there (all the barbeques, sausages and Thai local food) and almost loved everything. The roasted pork which tasted a little sweet was the best, along with the homemade coconut ice cream. There were some live performances also going... More

Busy street on Friday. Lots of variety of street food but mostly pre-prepared. Shopping is not much different from most night markets in Thailand. Difference is that there is the beach close-by.

Every Friday turns this street into a pedestrian street market - 4,000 steps from one end to the next. At one end is a Thai musical presentation (pls donate for the pleasure of listening to their music) by young people and then both sides of this walking street will be lined with innumerable stalls selling cocktails, sate, grilled fish/crabs/prawns, pork... Every Friday night from sunset until 23:00 you can visit this street where you can have great food selection from the many vendors freshly cooked at very reasonable prices. Drinks are available as well as any type of merchandise. Fun and a bit crowded street a must on your thing to do on Samui. I enjoy walking around meeting few... More

this market is crazy, there hundreds of stands with many special street dishes and other local merchandise.tone of people and general good atmosphir. Bo-Phut is more a family type of beach so you'll mainly find families walking in that market it's recommended to allocate about 2h to cover it all, it's open until 22:00-23:00 each friday.

The walking street is a great place to eat and very cheap. Stalls offer a variety of food, fish, meat, drinks etc. There are also a few cocktail bars serving very cheap drinks and many stalls selling all manner of goods. It is well worth a visit.

We live in Samui and have been to a lot of Friday nights in Bophut - the walking street. It's the best one on the island due to the size, quality and layout. it's the best one i've been to outside of Bangkok too! There is every type of street food possible, Thai, Pizza, Kebabs, Ribs - even strawberries! There... More

It was one of our first nights in Koh Samui, was Valentines night and was perfect to wander along the couple of streets with a mojito in hand looking at all the stalls. There were certainly some bargains to be had and the food on offer was amazing. Defo a must do when in Koh Samui
