Took a random side-trip here after spending a weekend in nearby and wonderful Strasbourg - I was totally caught off-guard as to how awesome this place was!! It's not a large place, but definitely big enough to feel like you are watching monkeys in the wild. The monkeys themselves are hugely entertaining, and watching them interact with one another and... Monkey Mountain is a wonderful addition to a trip to France and was an easy drive from Colmar (about 30 minutes). It was also about 5 minutes from Chateau du Haut Koenigsbourg (which was also amazing). Upon entering the park we were each given a handful of popcorn and given instructions on how to interact with the monkeys. My 3... More

A wonderful place to visit. Very kid friendly and fun for adults. We had a 10 yr old and a 15 yr old and they both enjoyed their time. It was so peaceful and enjoyable just watching the monkeys, especially the babies in their every day play. I have always dreamed of being up close to monkeys. This place does... More

It is a great place to spend 45 minutes or so in the nature. It is fun both for children and adults. You recieve some popcorn which you can feed them with. After the exist, if you didn't walk enough, there is a 4 km walk to a small village where there are a few non to sofisticated cafes and... More

Its a great way to spend a couple of hours in the beautiful nature of the area, the kids loved feeding the monkeys and it was interesting to hear of the efforts to save this lovely species.

Great fun, I came here as a child with my grandparents and decided to take my child. The place opens at 10am best to arrive around then to beat the crowds, the monkeys are more responsive in the morning. You receive a handful of popcorn on entry to the park to feed the monkeys, its such a lovely experience! not... More

Our second visit here. With the price of admission everyone gets a handful of popcorn to feed to the monkeys. They are darling and funny. We were just there on a crowded day. Best to go during the week and not near a holiday.

We don't have any kids but I still wanted to feed free roaming monkeys! Save some popcorn for the end... I watched people give their handful away to the first 2 or 3 monkeys. There are many along your walk and you'll get better pictures at the end when you are the only one left with food.

take your kids to experience a fun and funny attraction of monkeys living in a free atmosphere. unlike a zoo you can feel them close to you.

We visited here with our two kids - 2 & 3 yrs. We all had a fun time feeding the monkeys with popcorn that the park provides free. We did think it a little expensive (€8.50) for what amounts to an hours walk but I was impressed by the number of staff that were around making sure neither the monkeys... More
