Great wall option

Smaller version of the Great Wall in Beijing... and the whole distance takes about 2-3 hours' walk and climb. Wonderful small old city enclosed inside the wall.

A good experience. This is a large and walkable city wall from an older period of China. I was mentally comparing it to the walls of York, the UK, and it beats it: bigger, better maintained, more complete.

I am currently living locally and visited the Great Wall on a visit to Linhai. It is a well preserved and you can walk for 5-6km and take in the views. Would recommend to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of Chinese cities for a short while. It was so refreshing not to hear the... More

This is not the Great Wall, but rather interesting place. First, you clime up a very steep stairs ( not for week hearted ) and then you walk along the wall for 5 -6 km. If you are lucky, you may catch service in the local Buddhist temple ( it is somewhat hidden along the way, but locals know about... More

In Linhai on business and knocked off early to go see the Jiangnan Great Wall. The climb up is killer (note to self - lose 20 pounds when you get home) but the views are amazing. No signs in English so make sure you head back to the entrance at the top of the stairs before dark as stairs down... More

5-6 km to walk/run on and get a very nice view of the city and its surroundings. Has some attractions along the wall itself.
