We arranged with him to go out on 2 successive days for 4 hours of birding. He was very professional, knowledgable about the birds of the area , and know how to find us as much as possible new birds we have not seen before. One day with his 4x4 truck and the other with his boat

Went on the four hour birding trip with Francisco. Saw lots of flamingos, herons, egrets, terns, frigates, etc. Arranged the tour ahead of time via email with Diego. The guides really know their birds and how to locate them. We saw at least 30 species--and crocs as well! Pleasant trip, remember hat and sunblock and water.

We took a tour in the morning as soon as they opened to minimize the heat and have a parking space. The guide was friendly and the covered boat sound. Their restaurant on the second floor served delicious food afterwards. The only downside is the limited parking.

When setting up the To Do list for our Yucatan trip birding in Rio Lagartos was among the Top 5. And so we contacted Diego Nunez some months before and made a reservation for an 4 hour afternoon birding trip by boat and a land birding trip early next morning. When we arrived in Rio Lagartos we learned that there... More

We did two bird trips with them. The land was really excellent. Diego was a great guide, and we had real nice observations of a lot of birds, also some really tough species. The enxt morning we did a boat tour, this time guided by William. Although Willian seems to be a good guide, this trip was probably a little... More

Took the morning 2 hour tour with Felipe... Started off seeing a big group of flamingoes spread across the bay.. Watching them was a once in a lifetime experience. The colors were incredible! But that was just the beginning --- we went into the biosphere and saw numerous great blue heron, eagles and crocodiles. It was truly amazing - the... More

We booked well in advance - for a sunset boat and morning land tour and paid 50% in advance. Once paid we never heard from Diego again. We wrote 5 times and called numerous times with no response. Our invoice did not have any times on it so we just showed up. Things they need to work on: *Answering emails... More

We did both a four hour birding land trip and a four hour birding boat trip with this group. William was our guide for both trips and was an excellent source of information about birds as well as other natural history topics, and he seemed to enjoy the birding at least as much as we did.

We highly recommend a trio thru the bioserfa Rio Lagsrtos. RLA was an A+ experience. They where welcoming and got us in a boat and in the water on-time. We loved our guide Felipe. He was very friendly and knowledgable about the birds & had an eagle eye for spotting birds and crocodiles. He's the biz!

We did the two hour tour of the estuary and saw the flamingos, egrets, pelicans, cormorants -a crocodile-- green heron--- and the pinkish salt flats (which involved a float in the salty water and a body mask of the salt clay). It was all lovely. The guide, Francisco, was young and spoke English even did bird calls to get birds... More
