Lorraine is absolutely wonderful!! This was a highlight of my trip! I had issues with my transportation getting there and ended up being late. Lorraine was kind enough to still take me to go horseback riding. I went from being stressed out about being late to completely relaxed enjoying the outdoors while riding a beautiful horse, seeing amazing views and... More

Wonderful location for trekking on a private estate through ancient Irish forest. Lorraine was fantastic, and had my girls do their first canter ever and first real jumps too. They're delighted!

Lorraine was wonderfully helpful and friendly. The yard was clean and organised, the horses just wonderful for our mixed abilities. The ride through the estate was beautiful, well paced, and Lorraine was a great guide. We were two adults, an 11 yo and a 14 yo. Safety was great, and there were chances for us to push ourselves if we... More

I am from Wicklow and I am familiar with the local stables and what they have to offer however it was my first time at Glendalough stables under the management of Lorraine. I was taking my 12 year old niece trekking while she was here on holidays and Lorraine could not have been more friendly and helpful. The horses are... More

Myself and my boyfriend recently enjoyed a fun and excellent experience for our one year anniversary. The lady was very nice and helpful with us and put us at ease straight away!! Although for experienced riders I would recommend an hour and a half as we mainly walked and trotted. Overall a great experience and we would recommend it to... More

Brought my 14 year old daughter and her French friend (very limited English) here this morning. Lorraine worked her magic with them. Within minutes the two girls were feeling comfortable..... and beaming from ear to ear as they arrived back from their trek through the stunning estate. Lorraine even managed to let them trot confidently on their first time out....... More

My husband, a novice rider, and I, an experienced rider, spent a lovely afternoon today at Glendalough. Three things make a great ride: a good sound well-behaved mount, beautiful and varied terrain, and a friendly and knowledgeable guide. We had all three today! The Irish cobs were fresh and of good spirit and Glendalough estate is beautiful beyond words. Lorraine... More
