a tropical few hours

This is a great place for a half day getaway. It's really well done, and a great experience for kids as well as adults, with a lot to see.

I have been to Papiliorama on a number of occassions now as it is 10 mins down the road from home. Lots of things for the younger children to do. Small play area and a restaurant for a bite to eat. So many butterflies to look at, bats and snakes. Something different. Well worth a visit.

We love papiliorama, and have been serveral time with family. We love being among the butterflies, and all the interesting tropical flora & fauna that surround it. Very educational for the kids, they get to feel the humidity of the jungle! Well worth the drive!

We have been here several times and each time it's really beautiful to see all the different butterflies. Also the tent with the night animals and the jungle treck are nice to see. This time of the year we didn't go outside as it was really cold, but from last time we remember that there is a great playground for... More

The place exceeded our expectations. Well designed and well maintained, with a modern aura about it that makes it far superior from the rather run-down Tropiquarium (at Servion, near Lausanne), for example. Nicely set up for family picnics, lovely mini zoo with domestic animals that the little ones can pet, and a shady playground which our 4 year old thoroughly... More

There are a lot of different butterflies but also many species from the tropical forest, from bats to fishes and night monkeys. You have to reserve at least two hours to visit the whole thing. There are informatives panels everywhere and it's well explained. But if you want to ask something else there's no staff to explain anything. The second... More

We had a good time, and my kids (11 and 5) love it. The exhibition is good and besides the butterflies you can see other animals. There are 4 main areas: -The butterfly part, which is really interesting and nice to walk on and take pictures. -A dark area, nocturama, where you can see animals like it is night. -A... More

I took my 4 year old daughter here. It was nice. They have more than just butterflies. I really liked the nocturnal animal enclosure as I have never been to a zoo with such an exhibit. I like the idea of showing nocturnal animals in the dark. There is also a small petting zoo with goats. Though, we didn't see... More

My boyfriend and me went there for first time, it was very exciting! Beautiful butterflies, nice rain forest and the jungle where you saw the birds was cool as well, i was a bit scared when this big bird walked after me all time but i still liked it. The noc place where bats were flying was a bit uncomfortable,... More

Go now and then to see too happy about the beauty of butterflies. If one takes the time we discover also other animals. If you're in the area, so it is worth visiting for sure.
