What a fabulous night! It was expensive for two of us, opting for the combination tour, buffet meal and dance show, but it was worth every cent. The cultural tour was a great way to develop an understanding of the history of the Cook Islands and its people and was very well done. The buffet meal was delicious with a... More

We absolutely loved the entertainment and the meal was the just the best! Te Vara Nui came highly recommended from friends and family who had visited Raro before us. This is well worth the money and is must do in my book

Really well done with good food for a buffet. The show was very professional with a beautiful complex and dancers stayed around for photos.

Fantastic show, great food. Ended a little late (10pm) for our 8 year old son but overall a really great experience. Would highly recommend and would go again but maybe get a babysitter next time!

We where picked up from our accommodation and taken to the attraction. We where shown around the cultural village, which we found really interesting. I had previously been to another cultural show, and enjoyed this one much better. The meal was a bit average, though they do have to cater for many nationalities, I didnt think Sushi or scalloped potates... More

Really enjoyed the cultural tour and show, drinks very pricey, think the admission price bit expensive and they charge if you want to be picked up where as other places you visit pick up as part of the price, we were dissapointed we had to rush our dessert, it was served and then told our transport was leaving in 10... Having read some reviews that it was an over priced tourist trap, I was a bit wary.. The whole place was very professional, and the owner ( I think, Moana) greeted us all.. nice touch. The history of the island was superb, not too long and very interesting, if anything they could have been longer and more detail, but that... More

If you have never been to a luau or Polynesian cultural event, then you might enjoy Te Vara Nui Village. Overall, I was not particularly impressed, but that may be because I live in an area where I've experienced a lot of Pacific Islander culture. The buffet was very mediocre. The cocktails were pricey. The dancing was incredible, which is... More

I took my grandparents on the full extravaganza package. Being Māori from New Zealand we had a fair idea of what to expect. The tour around the village was as expected and more - we could relate to a lot of it, but we also learnt a lot too. The meal exceeded all expectations - just delicious! The show was... More
