Lone shining star in the night

though little far off from the main beach, it does capture everyones attraction due to its revolving lights in the night, nice view.

A worth going place only if your can walk and run through steep stairs. Old people are suggested to sit back. A view from light house is mind blowing and will make you stop for a minute...Stay there and see how the light house worked for focusing at 17kms in sea... :)

You can get a good panoramic view. You can see the sea from the top & the sea shore temple. Nice photo opportunities. Its get crowded at the top. Try not to go at peak times. Or otherwise you might have to wait for a longer time. The ascent becomes slow as there is only little room at the top.... More

This is a not so tall light house situated on top of a not so tall hill. The view from above is decent. You can see the Mahabalipuram town with a green cover on it and the vast expanses of sea from top.

The light house is at the top of the small hill where one started at the foot of the hill with watching Krishna madapa, Arjuna penance, etc. During my visit it was very crowded and the light house is a narrow one to reach the top. Better visit the top of the light house on less crowd days. Near to... More

The light house is a place to be totally avoided. Too congested. No proper personnel to control the public. The stairs are one way spiral structure where public just rush in on both directions. Personnel are only interested to issue ticket and check ticket. So, it looks just like cow shed.

Breathtaking view of the coastline, the beach town, submerged temples. Its very windy and a bit difficult to climb up numerous stiff stairs, but the experience above the light house is worth the effort.

Not a very tall lighthouse but the climb is a little tedious owing to the narrow steps and people climbing up and down the stairs at the same time. Not very safe for children for below 5 years of age as most can't negotiate the stairs on their own - especially the one at the very top. The view is... More
