This is a little hill station in tamil nadu, India, which is around 30 kilometers from Salem. The roads to the town are fantastically well laid and marked. The road has 20 hairpins and numerous sweeping curves and technical corners. You would love all of those if you love pushing your car of motorcycle. The corners keep coming and you... More

A quick weekend getaway for the family. The closest railway station from Yercaud is Salem. Its a short drive up to Yercaud. Can be reached by about 1hr. The actual mountain climb is only 30 minutes with about 20 hair pin bends. There are quiet a few resorts and lodgings to stay there. TTDC rooms are very good (though the... More

Worth a weekend trip. Cheap and good for cyclists to train climbs. Options: 1) descend completely and climb the ghat road, 2) do the Yercaud loop road at the top that gives a beautiful green 30 Kms loop of moderate challenge ride

Must visit experience and you should not leave this. Go on a week day to enjoy the fun of a laid back hill station. Very clean and organized. Look at properties near the pagoda point to have better quality air.

Yercaud is a small hill station not fully developed. It does not have good budget hotels or 3-Star hotels to stay. Food is average. Only place to get nice Veg food is Saravana Bhavan. It has waterfalls which is average. Overall, you can skip this if you are in shortage of time.

It was a weekend that i ended up visiting Yercaud, the place has no much of to visit attractions. Honestly speaking if it is a drive to be going for the sake of weather r beauty, Coorg/Madikeri is far better a place to be in than Yercaud. People here only speak Tamil, the moment you speak a different language you... More

Its a perfect weekend destination. Reach there, enjoy the weather, visit some of sights.. spend a night, leave the place. You can see lot of street-served fig and honey there. Just beware of adultery in honey. Otherwise the dish is great! The park and lake-boating are total waste for non-frequent traveller. You can see some historic milestone around. That's it!
