Did you know that besides Ooty, Kodaikanal, etc.. which are very famous anyways, there is one more, that too just off Salem, one of the busiest trading centres which has a rather hot climate. Salem is a place one needs to necessarily pass on the toll road if one is going towards Madurai, Trichy or Kerala from Bangalore. Just look... More

Yercaud is a hill station which can be reached by a 45 mts car drive from Salem city in Tamil Nadu. This is a silent non-commercialised hill station with many budget hotels and resorts. There is a big lake with well maintained pocket friendly boating facility by Tamilnadu Tourism. This place is little crowded only on saturdays and sundays. I... More

its a 9am-5pm visiting place. may be a 1 night stay.. but thats it. and definitely not during the summer months.. it has a bigger potential to be a good destination but at the moment it is quite disappointing.

We were 20 friends, some couples, some singles, and stayed at this place, which had excellent valley view and city view of Salem City.

I had come for a business meeting in Salem. When I had a couple of hours on hand. I ended up coming to Yercaud. I never knew that the Hill Station that was only mentioned to me a couple of times was this beautiful and serene. I should come here more often with my family.

Excellent hill station to relax yourself inbetween your tight schedule. You just need one full day to cover all the places. However the weather is pretty good and you can completely take rest while enjoying the weather. Three to four days are more than enough to cool yourself. See if you can go for a trekking which you will enjoy... More

Hardly anything worth mention in this place. There is a lake which has boating and some view points. Yes, you do get to buy nice plants from certain nurseries. Otherwise, this is a hillstation not worth going to. Atleast after seeing munnar, wayanad etc, this is nothing. If you love driving, as i do, and wish to go for a... More

The travel is through the hairpin bends hilly roads - travel will be around 30-45 Minutes There are around 20+ bends , need a careful driving as this roads are narrow and traffic is both the way of road Travel through this is not preferred during evenings/nights

There's a lot to wonder and explore this place. Very good especially for bikers glory. This land of marvel should be safe guarded from being itched for real estates. If govt can leverage ob more funding for modernization this is one amazing place for int tourism.
