great for woodland walks, picnics, fishing. Children's play area. Shop sells reasonably priced refreshments, cafe is a bit more expensive. All day ticket is the best option for car parking. Stopped at several different places. Enjoyed walk through heathland and along the dam.

We stayed here for 7 nights in a log cabin with hot tub The site is lovely and accommodation was really nice and clean however....... Unless you want to walk/cycle every day then this is not the right place for you the first few days were great we cycled some of the lake went on the ferry , the birds... More

Drove around the western edge of lake and stopped at a number of points, especially if raining. Tip is to get a full day parking ticket at £4.50 (6am-9pm) and use it in all the Keilder car parks. You could even get the Forest Drive upgrade at £6 saving £1.50. Leaplish is a huge place and didn't stay just visited... More

Leaplish is the biggest of the visitor centres around Kielder and the ferry stops here, there are boats to hire and crazy golf. There is a pub, shop and even a small swimming pool

A lovely setting and amazing that it is man-made. Crazy golf was unusual. The red squirrels were absent but never mind - it was fun looking for them. The hedgehog/badger/bear/armadillo/what on earth is it sculpture was intriguing. The food was ok - the pizza & curry combo of an evening strange but very tasty! In or on the edge of... More

Pristine site overlooking the water with walks and activities all around. Facitities are good and include a kiddies swimming pool for the bad weather. Unfortunately the midges can be a problem so be prepared

We stayed here for 7 nights as a large family group in two lodges and everything about the whole stay was so fabulous that I don't know where to start! Every one of the staff we had the pleasure of meeting were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The lodge itself was immaculate and well prepared, the hot... More

We had a great week in lodge 29 recently. Very well equipped and furnished and a good location in the park. Very helpful staff at reception. Only did the one activity, the Pirate Paradise, which we could've maybe missed with few complaints. Some issues with the midges which you expect at this time of year whilst the lack of wifi... More

Started with breakfast at the restaurant, terrible service, the waiter was sniffing and obviously haf a bad cold. He brought what couldn't be described as porridge which we had to ask him to swap, :-(he then brought the wrong cereal to replace this. On the plus side our dog was allowed in. As a base we then went cycling, we... More
