We returned yesterday from a new year break there. Whilst the lodge was very nice and we really enjoyed the hottub I feel quite short changed. As teachers we have no other option but to holiday with my family during school holidays. We have lived to accept the grossly inflated prices and how busy sites and attractions get. However I... Stayed in a lodge for a winter wonderland weekend. We were disappointed in the lodge for the amount you pay, as another review mentioned a bit a clean would help, black mould in the shower the front door jamming as its rotten not what you expect when paying so much money. On the positive side they are lovely and warm... More

Stayed back in June with husband and our young Labrador. Very clean cabin, usually if dogs are allowed lodges usually smell of other people's dogs, but this cabin did not. Lovely hot tub over looking the lake and forest. We booked a Hareshaw Superior and it was worth the extra money... Bathrobes and slippers. Booked again to stay without the... More

Enjoyed a lovely weekend caravaning at Leaplish. The caravan site is well laid out and the pitches spacious. Everything about the site is good and the refurbished shower/toilet blocks are excellent. We has a fab view over Kielder Water and really enjoyed cycling round it. The facilities, including the swimming pool, are top notch.

We stayed here at the beginning of November, we'd booked knowing that there was no mobile reception and no Internet access.. bliss. The cabin was comfortable enough, the dishwasher was a nice bonus. The restaurant was out of action for refurbishment but an alternative was arranged including booking a minibus and being driven to a sister site. It wasn't a... More

We booked to stay here at the last minute. The weather was not great, however we enjoyed our 4 day break in a superior cabin. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed. There was plenty to do, ie good walks, birds of prey centre, archery, mountain biking and more. The pub/restaurant was excellent, good food, and bar prices... More

Had a great week. Lodges were very clean and well equipped. We hired a boat for fishing, done archery several times, younger kids done some activities in the pool. Very friendly staff and the boat in was great.

Great location for activity lovers such as walkers, cycling and water sports, less to do for those people less inclined but still good for the views. Only problem was the cleaning left a bit to be desired; as in behind the beds need a good vacuum and bathroom needs a decent clean to get rid of the cobwebs. Great for... More

Middle of nowhere hospitality. Nice beer and food with great views iff you like man made views. Man made lake and forests of foreign softwood trees, but that's Kielder and it is quite nice.

Stayed mon to fri and had a great time relaxing in the hot tub with good privacy and amazing views espec at night with a clear sky. Cabin was good with exceptional decor and comforts with everything and more in the kitchen. Was great place to take the dogs with stunning walks and good on site facilities. A better stocked...
