Myself and my wife went here after our wedding as a Mini Moon for a week. The log cabin was fantastic, well furnished and an absolutely amazing view over the lake. We opted for the cabin with a hot tub outside and I'm glad we did, even thought it was winter and cold it didn't stop us sitting in the... More

Executive cabin = bliss. Two bedrooms, really spacious, modern amenities such as digital speakers, playstation, smart TV's all in rooms and living room. A hot tub outside! Perfect place for a weekend. The employees in the reception are incredibly friendly and helpful. We came for the winter wonderland which was really fun. A lot of singing... I'd maybe consider changing... More

Just back from our 3rd visit to this magnificent pieces of countryside in Kielder Forest. The recently refurbished cabins were as usual spotlessly clean and well appointed. Whether, like us , you go for a quiet "retreat" or you go to hike, bike or ramble it can't be beaten for value. The on site "Boat Inn" bar and restaurant serves... More

Took the kids for a weekend with the bikes. We took our caravan for the first time, and what a lovely surprise the toilet blocks were immaculate, warm and lovely showers just what we needed after cycling all the way around the reservoir with our kids aged 10 and 11years old. The pitches were spacious - we got to choose... More

We stayed in our touring caravan. All weather pitches. In the trees some of them. Really nice site. Well laid out. Lovely shower block. Hot hard showers, centrally heated a joy. Our pitch turned out to be more waterlogged than we expected but our fault not the establishment. Good shop. Lovely people manning the shop and info booth. I wish... More

I went here in September 2014 with 3 friends, we stayed in one of the lodges which had an excellent location, the view from the hot tub was beautiful, trees and hills. The cabin itself was warm and welcoming, the bath robes and slippers were a lovely touch and great when using the hot tub. The site is located on... More

We stayed in a Lodge at Leaplish and would not hesitate to recommend both the lodges and the site. The scenery is wonderful and the opportunity for walking unlimited.

We arrived in a hired motorhome late (2200) after an extraordinary sat-nav tour of tiny lanes and farmers fields (do not buy a binatone sat-nav) to find the wardens hut with a mobile number, he suggested we find a pitch and see him in the morning which was nice not to try to find a specific pitch. We awoke next... More

This is a great place to visit. The site was very clean and the staff were helpful. The views from the site are stunning. We enjoy cycling and some of the routes from Kielder castle are great fun. The lakeside way route is good for an easy ride and we did the whole 26 miles in one day which was... More
