We parked for the day with the intention of exploring the area. Car park charges very reasonable; £4.00 for the day, transferable to other car parks in Kielder Forest. As a holiday destination, the site facilities look busy, clean and well used. Can't comment on these more as we headed out along the pathways south of the site. The one... More

Great things to do & see here. Innovative crazy golf, Osprey watch, Birds of Prey Centre and fabulously beautiful walking trails. Recommend a visit

Scenery is fabulous the lake is so peaceful. Seemed to be a very popular place and even though it was busy it was still peaceful. So much to do and so little time to do it in three days was not enough can't wait to go back.

Just returned from a weeks stay at Leaplish Waterside Park in a cabin there. The cabin was terrific with a lovely sun deck and hot tub, the cabin was very clean and well equipped for our stay. The reception staff were brilliant and the swimming pool was small but clean and modern, the views over the Lake and from the... More

The cabins appear close together on arrival, but they are well set out that you have privacy and no noise. the cabins are spacious and well equipped. You get 1 bath towel per person, no hand towels or tea towels, so take your own. There is very little phone reception or internet reception on site, unless you stand up by... More

What a glorious place to wander. The lovely hidden sculptures and walks were a favourite. We loved the osprey camera and looking through the telescopes to the nest. LOVED in the hide and seeing the red squirrels, we were lucky enough to see at least 5. The thing we didn't like was the amount of dogs who were not kept... More

Just spent 2 nights in our motorhome at the caravan site, it was fantastic! A guy called Wayne greeted us and was incredibly helpful for the whole of our stay. Wayne made our stay very relaxing by his relaxed yet efficient manner. The walks are brilliant, reasonably flat and appear to be fully wheelchair friendly. Just one down side to... More

My fiancé and I stayed in a Otterstone lodge for a 3 night weekend break. The lodge was tastefully decorated and well equipped with a lovely living area, modern kitchen, a double bedroom with modern ensuite and a twin bedroom with a nearby bathroom. Outside the lodge was a small decking area containing an outdoor table and chairs and also... More
