We stayed here at the beginning of November, we'd booked knowing that there was no mobile reception and no Internet access.. bliss. The cabin was comfortable enough, the dishwasher was a nice bonus. The restaurant was out of action for refurbishment but an alternative was arranged including booking a minibus and being driven to a sister site. It wasn't a... More

We booked to stay here at the last minute. The weather was not great, however we enjoyed our 4 day break in a superior cabin. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed. There was plenty to do, ie good walks, birds of prey centre, archery, mountain biking and more. The pub/restaurant was excellent, good food, and bar prices... More

Had a great week. Lodges were very clean and well equipped. We hired a boat for fishing, done archery several times, younger kids done some activities in the pool. Very friendly staff and the boat in was great.

Great location for activity lovers such as walkers, cycling and water sports, less to do for those people less inclined but still good for the views. Only problem was the cleaning left a bit to be desired; as in behind the beds need a good vacuum and bathroom needs a decent clean to get rid of the cobwebs. Great for... More

Middle of nowhere hospitality. Nice beer and food with great views iff you like man made views. Man made lake and forests of foreign softwood trees, but that's Kielder and it is quite nice.

a second pleasant and relaxing visit although the weather was mainly wet and disappointing. We did, however, manage to see clear skies for two nights and able to gaze at the stars - wonderful. Another bonus was going to the squirrel hide quite early in the morning and seeing several red squirrels.

Let's start with the positives...nice friendly staff-lots of wildlife, nice walks, nice pool, decent restaurant- lots of activities-sadly let down by the lodges -We stayed in number 16 which is the smallest 5 berth lodge we have ever seen-the outside of the lodge was really showing it's age-but on opening the door we were greeted by a smell a bit...
