It does not matter when you visit. The experience is consistently good and a great place to simply stroll and relax. Just enjoy! The restaurant is also worth using with decent food and not the usual junk food so often found.

Lovely gardens set either side of a busy main road - very cleverly designed and maintained with under road walkway. Good selection of formal garden planting schemes. Lovely lake viewpoint. Nice woodland walks. Ample parking including shaded parking bays. Many places to stop and have a picnic. Nice restaurant near the entrance and a tea room further into the park.... More

Have looked forward to coming here for some time and it didn't disappoint. It is very beautiful at this time of year. We came as a big family group and the gardeners among us we're delighted. The teenagers were a little bored but didn't complain too much. The restaurant staff were very accommodating and the food was good. I like... More

Stopped here on way through exploring Devon. Had soup, bread and cheese as a late lunch. It is on a slight slope so bunged 80 year s old Mum into a complimentary wheelchair as she has a bad knee. Which was a great decision as it was very easy to push around. She had a wonderful view of the flowers. We... More

The same format as all RHS gardens with an expensive cafe and gift shop, but it is a lovely day out. The garden is very tidy with clear paths, very calming to walk around. There is a nice little vegetable patch section.

Took my 9 year old grandson to Rosemoor to do some crafts on a very wet and windy day. The gardens were very quiet but the shadow puppet workshop was well attended. The hosts were very good with the children who managed to put on some good entertainment with the puppets they had made. Lunch was good but a little... More

Came here for a day visit & didn't see everything. A great day out. Garden is beautiful, toilets are clean, staff are friendly but the cafe is on the expensive side. We visited while the Alice in Wonderland theme was on - great fun.

We visited on a rainy August day with four children. Although the rain fell persistently ALL day, we were greeted by friendly staff at every turn. There was an excellent selection of workshops for the children ( in the dry) including puppet and hat making. Both workshops were of a very high quality and engaged all of our group. The... More

The garden provided much colour and an abundance of vegetables were also present. Not only interesting but also gave lots of ideas for incorporating into own garden. Really a motivating and refreshing visit. Polite, friendly welcome. Also had good food/tea/coffee facilty.

2 adults + 14 yr old boy on Monday. We arrived just after it opened at 10:00 at it wasn't too busy. There was shaded parking if you wanted it (drive a little further round). The entrance is a short walk from the car park. We used some Camping and Caravaning Club money off vouchers so ~£19 for 3 with... More
