We are RHS members and were nearby on holiday so had to visit. The gardens are excellent, as they are at our local RHS garden in Harrogate. There is a large variety of different areas so I expect that there will be plenty to see at any time of the year. We used the small cafe in the gardens, I... More

Even on a cold early January afternoon these well maintained and interesting gardens have so much to offer and fill ones head with with ideas and plans for rearranging ones own garden. It was so interesting to see developments since our last visit fifteen years ago. . As RHS members living in France there are few opportunities to take full... More

A really enjoyable afternoon, thought this would just be a couple of hours on our way to the seaside but there was so much to see and do that we were here for an entire afternoon. The gardens and woodland areas are beautiful, we had fun following the trail they had on for children and finding all the points of... More

If you are into gardening or photography this place has it all. I used to visit regularly with the camera when I lived in the area and all year round different areas look great. There is also a couple of nice play areas for children to let of steam!

I'm a garden lover and have been here a couple of times whilst visiting the in laws in Bideford. Even though it's winter and there are no flowers to colour the place up there is still so much to see and get inspiration from for our garden. There was also a sculpture exhibition on when we visited which added to... More

Really beautiful gardens, juxtaposition of autumn foliage and bare trees really inspiring. The best part however was the Tramper All Terrain Mobility Scooter available on the day. I was able to access almost all parts of this steep garden which would not have been possible otherwise. Recommend booking in advance as in busy season they might not be available. Brilliant... Didn't dislike anything, really lovely gardens, good autumn colour, helpful staff (we had lots of questions about veg, some of their ways of growing fruit were new to us, learnt new techniques)

We visited Rosemoor twice on an autumn visit to Devon to help us with ideas for a new conifer area at home and also for winter colour. The garden has superb zones for every type of garden area and also some small basic gardens of specific types. the staff were very helpful, particularly Ruth in the library who picked out... More
