Had such a lovely day at dartington crystal... the tour was brilliant and nice to see the workmen so friendly and smiling. The one who likes Manchester united made us laugh. The food was lovely and the shops where amazing.. wanted to buy so much bit did have my heart in my mouth with two little girls wanting to touch...

It is so unusual to find a place which hand makes quality glass pieces with the public able to watch and see how hard these guys work. I love dartington glass wear there are also recycled glass from dartington if you are on a tight budget there's something for everyone also the food is so tasty well worth a visit .
Glad we made the trip here as the whole family enjoyed it, especially the children. We all enjoyed the tour and the kids had their hands cast in glass and painted some glasses. We ate in the restaurant where the food was much better than expected.

Went on the tour of the factory which was really interesting. Watching the glass blowers work was quite fascinating. You wander around unaccompanied so its nice and relaxed with lots of info provided on your way round. we didn't do the glass tour this time as we had done it before so we decided to pop along for lunch and a mooch in the shops. Which, was soopa, the café isn't cheap I may ad but made for a nice change. I love the shops and being local I shall keep a memory note to pop back...

We really enjoyed our visit to Dartington. Very child friendly - our 9 year old enjoyed painting her glass plate - pride of place in living room now. We went on the visit round the factory, which was interesting. Shop - very good. Cafe - very nice (esp cream teas).
