I made a point of going to the Dartington Crystal with a friend for the factory tour and to see the glass collection. If you love Dartington Crystal it's well worth a visit to see the glass exhibits and to watch the glass blowers at work. I was however disappointed that the steward in the factory area was unable to... More

Popped in here on way through. The glass is beautiful and lots of different styles. Did not go round the factory but it looks quite interesting. The price of the glass in the shop is at a reduced rate compared to the retail outlets. We did use the cafe and this was an average price for where it is located.

It was such a surprise to find this factory in this area. The story behind its origin is fascinating just by itself and the factory tour is definitely worth it. We did the tour first (which is self-guided) and then went through the exhibition area. The exhibition area tells you the history of the factory and has examples of things... More

It's fair to say this attracts a certain aged clientele and you could tell this by the fact disabled parking bays almost outnumber regular ones. The history and gift shop were pleasant to look round and the chronology of how the company developed is worth a look. The tour is more of a 'open the door and pop in to... More

The tour has a small fee but it is well worth it. Even buying seconds in the shop with each piece of glass's minor imperfections makes it special as no two pieces all hand blown are truly identical which makes it such a special item.

We went only to have a hand cast done of our 2 year old. 4 years ago we went and had ours done so we thought it would be a lovely addition. We were due to be late so the reception staff were lovely enough to rebook us with out a problem. They were really welcoming and showed us were... More

Came here today with my parents and aunt and uncle. I am so impressed with the place I felt compelled to review whilst still here. The most interesting thing is to walk through the factory and watch the glass blowers/makers at work. Before you go in to the factory you watch a film that explains each workers role and whilst... We were really impressed with the tour of the factory and how the workers made the glass. They had an area for kids to paint their own glass (extra cost, but well worth it) and it was a great memento to take away with us. The restaurant was very nice. Really clean and beautifully set out and the food was... More

Unfortunately the factory tour does not run on a Sunday, which was a little disappointing... However we browsed through the various shops and picked up a couple of bargains in the Dartington Crystal shop, so the journey was not a total bust!
