We went to Dapitan for purposes of seeing where Rizal stayed while in exile during the Spanish era and it really turned out like reliving the old days of our National Hero. A freelance tour guide voluntarily helped us go around the shrine explaining in minute details the hows and whats of Jose Rizal's life in Talisay Dapitan, from the... More

We were here about 3 or 4 years ago. It is a very interesting place with replica houses and kitchen and bedroom etc of where Joze Rizal lived during his exile in Dapitan. The gardens are ok but in need of tidying up a bit.

Finally! I have always wanted to go to this place for a long time. The good thing is that there is no entrance fee and yet the place is well-managed with clean surroundings. Josephine must have fallen in love with this place as much as she has fallen with Rizal.

Today, the Park is surprisingly well maintained. I visited the place about 15-20 years ago, and am glad to have seen improvements inside the park. There is now a canopy walk beside the mountain, thematic street lamps adorn the walkways, and decorative floors have been added too! Overall the place is a good venue for photographers. That's the very reason... More
