Visited with my friends during the the previous rainy season, I still cannot forget the overall fun and experience we had. It was pouring heavily and that long trek. Many of us thought we wont make it yet finding a small roadside shop serving garam kanda bhaji and chai was like we had no words. A must go for all... More

How to reach: We were traveling here from Pune and took Old Mumbai-Pune highway. After 50 km or so, the left hand side turn comes for Bhaje vaves. Bhaje caves is about 4 km away from here. After that if you travel on the same road for about 14 kms, then comes Lohgad fort. We went there in rainy season... More

A beautiful fort located near lonavla/pune. One can reach at the base of the fort by road. There are small snack shops available at the base. but please carry food and water along as the same is not available at the top. Amazing landscape and ancient history awaits you :)

Situated very close to Pavna lake. It is an outing which can be combined with the outing for the lake. We can drive the car almost to the top. From the carpark to the top of the fort is a very gentle and easy climb possible even for young children. Good to give kids a feel of the history of... More

It's a wonderful exercise to visit the fort. Very scenic and lots of breaks are required. But once you reach the top theres nothing on top. Only you see the dams Valwan and Pawna. The stairs are nice and the climb is difficult. It's a good trek!

Totally recommend climbing this fort. If preferable, do it as early as 6 AM to avoid the crowd. By 10 AM it gets very very crowded, especially on holidays.

We trekked to the fort and enjoyed the overall trek. It was totally worth the effort and the sweat. The view from the top is really good.

This was our first trekking experience, was were not initially sure of making it to the top. However, it turned out to be a nice one. The walk was not that steep and the road to was well maintained. My parents both 60+ also did make it up till the foothills of the fort (PS: We started our journey from... More

we went with my friends to this fort. It is just amazing. we have enjoyed the trekking on off tracks. I wonder how people built this wonderful monument on the top of the hill... Hats off to the architect who designed this fort.
